How do u really know when ur in labor?

Well and the reason I ask this is because I've read on here, by some of u gals that some of you don't feel the contracts that strong or at all, so if ur not feeling them or think its ur regular pregnancy cramping and for any other reason u end up going to the dr u end up finding out ur in labor!.. I've even read stories were girls have had there babies in there bathroom Cus they though they just needed to pee or go number 2 and all of a sudden they feel the need to push and push out the baby I just want to know the many ways to find out besides the common ones because like they say. Everyone is different and I wanna make sure for myself just in case since I'm a FTM

Also, if you water break first then go to the hospital. The 511 rule doesn't apply then. But I was told you will at least have time for a quick shower first :)

First you start nesting again toward the end of the pregnancy, I found myself clean the bathroom floor at 40 weeks, lol.
You migh or might not lose your plug before that. I got this gush of bloody discharge right before my contraction start.
Contraction, no one can really describe it to you but you will know it when it happen. Then afterward you can't remember either, lol.
Mine start around 15 mins apart and finally get to 5 min about 20 hours later. I try to rest and walk while I wait and took a shower in between.
My water never break until the doctor did it in the hospital, everyone is difference.
I follow the 5-1-1 rules. Contractions 5 mins apart, last 1 min each time, going on at least 1 hour and off to the hospital I go.
And follow you instinct, if you think you are and contraction is coming strong, go to the hospital. Better play it safe. Good luck, you will do great :)

Labor pains can be felt differently in everyone. I had severe stomach contractions. My mom felt them in her legs (and didn't know she was in labor) my grandmother had them in her back. Its all different. But your water should break, and your mucous plug will be released..be in tune with your body :)

Yeah I hope so too even tho im being induce do to my Hbp I've read about some women starting there labor early before there induce date, but thank you ladies I rather ask and inform myself then wonder lol! Sinde I knew everyone is different and have different experiences... But thank you again :)

Women not knowing they are in labour is extremely rare so don't even worry about it.  But if your wondering how to tell when your in real labour look for 3 things.  Your contractions are consistently 5 min or less apart.  The contractions last at least 60 seconds and stop you in your tracks.  But trust me you WILL know when your in labour.
