I got sick earlier in the night and I threw up blood, help??

Hi, this is my first child. I've had a really good pregnancy no morning sickness except maybe 4 times. I'm 20 weeks pregnant. When I threw up there was a good amount of blood and bloody mucus looking stuff. It was bright red. I'm scared, I'll admit it. And I've felt fine ever since, but I don't know if I should still go to urgent care or what. Help please

Its okay. I hadent eaten anything red for a while before I threw up so I know it couldn't have been that. I wish it was just tomatoes or something but the acid in them give me bad heartburn so I don't eat them often.

not to make you feel dumb...did you eat anything that would look like blood? I only ask because everyone after my husband eats beets he freaks out because he thinks there's blood in his urine when it's just the beets.
if you know for sure it was blood, though, please call your doctor soon!

You need to go in. Every time I have puked blood, I call my nurse, and she tells me to go to the ER as soon as possible. Thankfully, mine is only because of a rip in my esophagus, but yours sounds worse than mine, and they're always super worried about mine. I don't want to scare you, but you really do need to go in.
