If 7 wks pregnant and baby measues 5 wks size and bpm is 82, is there a chance

My daughter is 35 and 7 wks pregnant. She lost the 1st one. The ultrasound shows baby is small and bpm is 82. Is miscarriage imminent?

Ah, I'm sorry.  I know that is worrisome.  Time will tell but please know that I've seen posts with similar information as this and the mama's go on to have healthy babies!  It's still really early.  Sometimes dating of conception is off.  What does her doctor say?

Turns out her own calculations show ovulation to be 5 wks and the bpm was 89. Only one point below normal for 5 wk old fetus. Dr is going by the last period (7 wks). Her next ultrasound is pn monday. We are praying.
Hi Mija.  Doc is going by the last period because medically that's how they date a pregnancy.  When the doc dates the  pregnancy at 7 weeks,  he realizes she ovulated 5 weeks ago and so truly the baby is only 5 weeks old.  But I agree with SpecialMom,  this may turn out just fine.  Only time will tell and waiting is so hard.  Best wishes.
