I'm now 5 days late how bad should pre-pregnancy cramps be?

i'm now 5 days late had excruciating back pain last night and took a dissolvable solpadeine to clear it which it did.  Feel a little sick today my appetite has went right out of the window, brown discharge has disappeared and become clear.

The only thing i'm worrying about was how bad my cramps were last night, how painful should early pregnancy cramps be?

I'm 5 days late on my period and last night I had a terrible pain that I haven't felt before. I felf Tha pain in my back and my stomach, could I be pregnant?

Thanks for all the positive thoughts guys but AF arrived on Tuesday 30th November, i'm okay about it because i can look forward to my holiday in June again and concentrate on getting married in 2013

I agree with the others, please test!  But I am also a little concerned b/c the pain you describe sounds like the way they describe the pain of an ectopic pregnany.  Although i don't think you'd have pain this bad, this early, it's still something to keep in mind....Sending positive thoughts! ~~~~

Girl you need to test! All of this guessing is going to drive you mad! I really hope this is it for you! I had on and off cramps during the first trimester, some of them even felt like AF cramps but they never were excruciating.

I had a lot of cramping with this pregnancy for like the first 12 weeks.... it always had me worrying..... when are you going to test? I am praying that you are preg!!!!

I had severe cramps the entire first trimester, it felt like I was gonna start any day....Have you taken a HPT yet?

Mine felt like that last night, i get bad period pains but the one's i had last night were unbearable.  i'm sitting with a hot water bottle on my back at the moment :) seems to be doing okay, still no discharge or anything though just gonnae hold out and wait and see

It's hard to compare but mine were lot worse than my normal period pains felt like whole period was gona come at once right there n then... Although I don't normally get period pains...
