Induction at 39weeks

Soo my doctor said if I dont go into labor on my own by 38 weeks they will have to schedule an induction for Aug 10 which I will be 39 weeks exactly...I am 50% effaced & 1-2 cm dilated & I believe my son is at a -2 station this is my 4th baby & normally I would have been more dilated by now...but anyways I much rather go into labor on my own but idk what else to do & next week at 37wks I will be getting a membrane sweep so hopefully that kick starts things & sex is out of the question because I have been on pelvic rest since week 20 due to complications...sooo any advice from you ladies would be real helpful thanks mommies

Sex, walking, hoping, praying. Lol.  I was induced at 39 weeks with my second and it was actually quite nice. As a planner, setting up a time to deliver was really convenient! No joke- it has his benefits. No issues with the induction and probably easier than when I went into labor without intervention with another birth. Anyway, you've got time. Aug 10 is far enough away that things could absolutely change. Hope all goes well!

A lot of natural ways to induce labor are a little physical, like squats, sex, walking etc. If your on bed rest you can try eating spicy food, drinking red raspberry lead tea and fresh pineapple
