Weird my ob starts kick counts at 24 weeks. But esp for a first time mom 20 weeks is ok to not befeelong constant movement. I didnt even feel my first bahy move till as flutters till 18 weeks. Now second pregnancy my husband was able to feel outside at 19+5. But if you are concerned call your ob office dr office w.e dont ask us if its dead that sounds so harsh and uncaring and disconnected I mean how can you even ask like that!?
You normally wont feel kicking until at least 22 weeks
Doctors won't have you start counting kicks until 28 weeks. After that if you don't feel him kick 5 times in an hour then you should be concerned.
I didn't feel distinct movement until last week and I'm 22 weeks. It scared me too but I tried not to think negatively.if your that worried call your OB or maybe even go to the ER.
You should be having your anatomy appt soon if you haven't already. Once you see your little one dancing around the screen you'll feel much better. But if you've already had it and are still unsure... I agree with the other mommas and you should head on to the ER where they can have a look and make sure everything is ok. Another option would be for you to get a Doppler. They're made to reassure people by finding the baby's heartbeat. Especially if you keep on having doubts.
I wouldnt just assume "its dead" yet. I think this is a conversation to be had with the ER or your ob, we all feel movements at different times so this may be normal for you. I would go ask about it though.
Most people don't feel the baby kick at this stage. But everybody is different. Call your doctor and let him know of your concern.
No need to worry momma.
Your baby is still so early and small you won't be able to feel every kick until their bones get a little harder. Especially if baby is facing towards your back you wont really feel kicks.
Not to mention baby is going to have lazy days, growth spurts, and sleeping where you won't feel kicks.
You dont have to start worrying until your 28th week when you are suppose to start kick counts. Your Dr will explain to you kick counting at later appointments.
So if u don't feel baby move right now there is no need foot alarm:)
Seems kinda harsh.. 'is it dead' not everyone can feel movement, and it comes at different times. Go to the Er or call ur ob for reassurance!
