Is this rare.

I'll be 35 weeks this Saturday, and I've been in and out the hospital with contractions,one day I'm told I'm dialated 4cm then last night i was told they were wrong I'm only dilated 1cm, how common or uncommon is that??

Yes that does sound quite unusual definitely check with your care provider as well as the hospital. My last pregnancy was a preterm labor at 33 weeks. No one believed me when I said something wasn't right by the time a wonderful Dr did believe me it was too late my son came early. He was OK but spent almost 3 months in the NICU I wouldn't wish it on anyone
