Yet another post asking re HR determining baby's sex so a repost about all those crazy pregnancy myths your granny probab;y told you.................


Heart Rate is not a determination of your baby's sex.    HR can vary 130-170 (ish) given on the level of the activity of your baby at any given time.    A resting heart rate will stay roughly along it's baseline but can increase with stretching, kicking and turning so HR could go for 134-178 in under 5 mins depending on how active your baby is at that given time.

How you carry your Bump is all down to how your body copes with the changes.    That means that it doesn't matter of you carry high or low, all round or to the front - neither of these suggests that it is a boy or a girl.

It is the same with heartburn, nausea, early or later feeling of movements.   Cravings as well do not indicate a gender.        The only true way to determine the sex of your baby that is 100% i sto look between its legs when it is born!

Ha ha my mil hi great, its his gran that does my head in. I have about 10% tolerance left for her. She gets all annoyed cause we only bring hi
 up once a fortnight and moans she never sees him, but Im like you know where i stay, you stay 20 minutes from me and all your four kids have cars, they could easily bring you Exxon. Babys dads mum and dad see him than a week, my mum sees him twice a week and my dad and stepmum see him every fortnight cause they stay quite far away. But my babys dads gran expects to see him all the time, for me to Take him a couple times a week, but i refuse on the basis that she never makes an  effort to come see him all, she has never been to my house once in the 9 weeks since baby was born x

I got from the MIL that i was "all a##" like her when she had her girl. Then i found out i was having a boy and it swaped to "oh yeah you're all belly and low its def a boy" lol then fron my 20week scan she said it had my hubbys head... she is a moron, i cant wait to meet my little man tho, only 5weeks i hope

Yes people tell me your having a boy. I'm like nope it's a girl! They look at me as if I'm crazy. They don't believe me. Lol

Aww thats not do good.   My wee man has drops to go in his milk to settle his stomach cause he had really bad diarrhoea ad a viral thing for like 10 days when he was only 2 weeks old :o   Was in hospital and everything, and it was at this point when I was waiting n the hospital calling me to say if we needed to take him in I was feeding him and he was sucking for comfort too as was unwell, that she was saying he been on too long, take him off, I told her to **** off lol x

10 minutes I wish! My son has problems with acid reflux and wants to constantly nurse and fed for 4 hours! We had to get him on zantac and we supplement with a special formula a few times a day that soothes his tummy.

Yup. She still thinks he should have a vest, then an outfit, then a cardigan on, I'm like no way, he is in a cotton onsie with short arms and legs, and a sun hat with factor 50 on him, while being kept in the shade. And she thought that even at 2 weeks old, he should only be fed for 10 mins and be full, and shouldn;t be feeding as often as he was, I was like erm no I feed on demand til he is a couple months old, and it was him that fell into his own routine and I work around that x

That's crazy lol my 4 week old son was in a onsie today while in the DMV and was burning up! I couldn't imagine layers. But we need a FAQ section for sure!

Yup, my BFs gran was full of them and I wsa like, no that's crap you're talking.    Even now he is here, she comes away with stuff (still thinks I should put three layers on him in 33 degree celcuis heat.... I don't think so, he sweats in one thin layer as it is.      It'sthat people keep believing them and they get theit hopes up and for what?   Something someones great granny came up with years ago?   x

haha woo I'm liked lol.    It just annoys me seeing people every single day write that it's a biy or a girl cause their bump is high or low.     It's like seriously, Old Wives Tales are fun, but a complete and utter load of crap lol x
