Lightening and breech position

Hi Everyone,
Baby has been breech since about 24 weeks ish, and I am terrified of having to have a c section. I have an ultrasound on the 28th to confirm position and then a possible turning procedure done(CVS?)
I have noticed that in the last few days I have been dropping and going through the lightening phase. I dont think they can turn the baby if hes dropped into my pelvis?
I am also really nervous about having the turn done either way, heard things like cord wrapping around baby or getting pinched, bowel movements and placenta coming away from the wall.
I have a 1 year old at home, I am not happy with the idea of leaving her for 3 days or not being able to pick her up. I also am not the type to just sit around. I HAVE to be go, go, go!
Anyone have any tips on how to get baby to turn, or input on that procedure? Oh, I am 34 weeks,
Always appreciated :)

I understand that you are scared & nervous.

I don't know about turning, but I had a c-section 5 yrs ago.

Let me tell you.... It was SO EASY!  I felt cheated that I didn't experience child birth.  crazy right?
Anyway, I was up & moving around with baby The same day as delivery.  There was some tenderness, but I got around really well.  I was also up on my tread mill 2 weeks later.  It really was a breeze.  Try to relax.  Either way the baby comes, there will be soreness.  Do you have anyone to help you with your 1 yr old?

The baby wont be able to drop if it is breech because its head wont be able to engage. My daughter was breech and they gave her until 38 weeks to turn. When she didn't turn I got the external version which basically uses pressure to turn the baby. It didn't really hurt at all and they have you strapped to an ultrasound machine the who time to that they make sure nothing bad happens. If for whatever reason something bad did happen then because it is a hospital procedure you'd be taken and given a c-section. The whole thing for me lasted maybe 15 minutes tops and then I went into labor 2 days later and got to vaginally birth my daughter. I would recommend trying to turn the baby first to anyone.
