MUCUS PLUG

I think I may have lost my mucus plug. It was clear and stretchy/stringy like snot I never had a discharge like this. I'm 27w5d I just read that it could be a sign of labor and a post of a lady at 27w who went into  preterm labor shortly after so I called the emergency line and they transferred me to a nurse and I asked her did I loose it I explained to her what it looked like  and she said " I don't know I'm not looking at you, if you want to come in you can but That's up to you." So not much help there so can you ladies help me out a bit?

Typically your mucus plug is tinged with blood... I personally have never heard it being just clear... when I was pregnant with my daughter I had that same discharge a few times... your discharge can change a lot while pregnant... Mine went from watery one day to thick and white in color the other, then turned around and it was clear and stringy... gross i know... but I'm pretty sure it is just normal vaginal discharge... you do create a lot more while pregnant to prevent infection...

It definitely sounds like atleast part of your plug, and it's true what, the other ladies have said about it regenerating and that it doesn't always mean labor. It does usually mean that your dilating though, and seeing,as you are still very early in your pregnancy I would personally suggest being seen by someone immediatly. It is most likely nothing, but it's not worth the risk, you are showing warning signs of preterm labor, you should be seen.

Your plug can grow back, and if you lost it all it could still mean labor is weeks away. That nurse sounds rude though!
