Medela Pump/Shield question

I have registered for the Medela Pump In Style, and I am wondering what else I need to have on hand in addition to the pump.  Do I have to buy the breast shields separatly, and if so, how do you know what size?

Is there anything else that I need to buy to go with this pump?

I want to have the pump on on, since I will be returning to work and want to be able to pump to build up a supply, I just want to make sure I have everything that I need to use it.

It comes with the pump, and most of them will come with more than one size!

it'll show you what all comes with it too, and they have shields on there that you could order if yours doesn't come with the right size!!

Thanks for the info!  When I say shield I am talking about the breastshield that acutally attaches to the pump, the part that is attached to the pump on one side, and your breast on the other.  

I did register for the bags, they look easy enough to use.

Well usually they come with almost everything you need.  Now when you say shield, are you talking about a nipple shield for breastfeeding?  


Well, you will want to buy storage bags for the milk, or containers.  Something that can be frozen!!  What I did was buy the bags, they hold 16 oz.  And then froze them.  I would take a bag out and defreeze, and pour it into bottle, that way, during the day or night my husband would grab a bottle, while microwaving water to heat it up in!
