Metronidazole vaginal gel ?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant my doctor prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel for a bacteria that I have, has anyone else taken this during a pregnancy ? I'm really scared I've read about women who've lost their baby by taking this gel I'm really scared I called my OB and I asked him if its safe for the baby and he said it is but I'm really concerned about this, its my first baby too. I need Help anyone ??

It's safe. I've used it this pregnancy for a yeast infection.

I get yeast & bacterial infections very easily while pregnant, especially after having to take any antibiotic. I'm 38 weeks & I've had 3 during this pregnancy. My Doctors just told me to take Monistat 3 or 5 over the counter instead of Diflucan. Just because it works faster. I didn't have any issues from it as far as I know. I've had a very difficult pregnancy too (like bleeding throughout, early contractions, etc.) & they still said it was safe for me. I hope this helps.

Never heard of it sorry and I'm 28 weeks pregnant but then again didn't have a bacterial infection
