Mirena- how long till i get pregnant ?? :( Plz help

Me and my husband have been trying to become pregnant for 2 months now i had mirena removed in march. i immediately had a menstrual after removing it. so we started trying as soon as it ended. i had a supppper late cycle in april soo late we thought we where pregnant, but when it came it was heavy so i thought i had a miscarr. soo we tried to be positive and keep trying but.... again i ending up not being pregnant this month either. soo now im starting to think is it something wrong with me or is this normal to not already be pregnant. :(  and if so then when should we try. also i thought after you have bc removed you become super fertile .... idk im soo lost and scared  i want to give my husband a lil one :(  this will be our first. plz help any comments or personal experience noone around me understands what im going thru ..... :(

I am in similar boat as you. But this will be my second child (God willing soon). I took my mirena out Jan 21, 2011. Four days later had a period..then 2 weeks later had another period..and from then on my cycle has been like 39 days lonnnggg...*****..lol. Same as you I thought I was pregnant, but was not. But what happened was my ovulation days are off....so this month I bought a clearblue ovulation pregnancy kit(the 20 stick) and I started on CD 9..like it said..and I just got a positive opk on CD 27 (May 19)...sooo yeh mirena made our cycles off..but it takes a couple of months..u want your lining to build up anyway. sending baby dust your way and mine!!..lol  any questions you can ask me...Gods blessing!!

You've not been trying for long in the least. 3 months is nothing in statistic terms. A normal healthy couple with no fertility issues can take up to 2 years to conceive. Anytime you use birth control (a hormonal one) for any amount of time will change your cycles and odds. You were on it for 9 months. That's more than enough time. Mirena works by thinning the lining of the uterus, among other things. Conceiving so soon after puts you more at risk of miscarriage. It's also likely your cycles are going to be off for a few months. Don't go into this thinking it will happen right away. It's a common misconception that you're fertile (or extra fertile) after you end BC. Your body has to readjust itself. Just relax and enjoy being with your partner. It'll happen.

Thank you soo much i will :) i get soo stressed at times and dont have someone to ask with a similar problem or experience and and i didnt have it in but a couple of months -june 2010 to march 2011 cause it cause me to start losing my hair and lots of other problems , so because i didnt have it in long i thought it really wouldnt have a affect on me getting pregnant.

it is still a little early to start worrying, if you were on mirena for a long time then it takes a while for your body and hormones to go back to normal, hence the reason why you were late in april. keep track of your ovulation, and dont over stress it ! we started trying as soon as we got married after having a huge letdown due to a false positive. and a year later we still hadnt gotten pregnant i got diagnosed with pcos, so according to doctors it was virtually impossible to get pregnant since my body didnt ovulate on its own at least not every month and it was hard to know when i did ovulate. anyways hubby went to haiti after the earthquake with the army and we were going to start treatment when he came back, well literally the day he came back was my conception date lol... so it just takes time and very little stress!! Good luck!!
