Miscarriage

If you have had or are having a miscarriage would you know it & would you be bleeding? Also in early pregnancy 12-15 weeks can you feel your uterus or whatever through your belly? Or did you feel "pregnant"? Do all symptoms kind of subside?

As the other ladies have said, try not to worry too much. I am 13 weeks and beside being a little more emotional at times, I do not 'feel' pregnant either. I had a m/c last year so the thoughts that something may be wrong do go through my head, but I try to push them away and enjoy the pregnancy. If you have had no signs of m/c, then I would just be happy you're not throwing up all the time. :)

This is my first pregnancy and I'm 24 weeks and a few days and I'm showing a little but just recently looked pregnant to those that didn't know.

Try not to stress yourself out it isn't good.  I know it is scary but you just need to go with things!! as long as your doctor thinks everything is okay I"m sure it is.

Willow- I just saw your follow-up comment. First, relax! You won't have a bump this early on. Most people start to get a bump around month 5 (20 weeks). At 12 weeks the uterus is just now coming out from under the pubic bone so it's still incredibly low. Any "bloat" or little bump you may have under your belly button is actually your organs moving to make room for your growing uterus.

I know that this was a stressful period of my pregnancies when I didn't feel anything, my symptoms would come and go (or not exist at all!) and I'd constantly worry and wonder. You're not crazy but calling your doctor won't result in anything unless you're bleeding. They'll tell you to wait until your prenatal appointment. If they don't look for the heartbeat at your next appointment, ask them if they would so it can help ease your mind!

Symptoms usually subside as you enter the 2nd trimester. And yes, you can feel your uterus during those stages but if you're poking around and don't know what to feel for then you won't know if you're feeling the top of the uterus or not.

At your next OB appt they should use a doppler to find the heartbeat. When they check to feel your uterus, ask them if they'd show you how to feel it as well so that you know what you're feeling.

Some women have "missed miscarriages" where the baby dies and they don't know it for a few weeks until they have a sonogram or a doppler cannot find a heartbeat. The chances of this happening after week 12 are less than 12% last time I checked the stats on it.

I dont know if I have or am or anything. Im just wondering. Im about 12-13 weeks pregnant & dont have a belly yet. My last ultra sound was at 7 weeks & then I had blood work done & a pap 2 weeks ago & the dr didnt seem to think anything was wrong. I just dont feel pregnant. I havent had any sickness since day one, just very sore breast which still exists sometimes more then other. I have the occasional cramps still but I've been having them since week 4 when I found out. Im just worried because I feel pretty normal..is that normal? I know nothing about being pregnant since this is my first. I have an apt on the 10/15 but dont get another ultra sound till 18 weeks which wont be till November.  How do most ppl feel during this time? I know everyone is different but I figured I'd have atleast a little belly bc Im only 105 lbs normally..maybe this is wrong? When do most woman start to show with their first? Im probably just worrying or something bc its not like i've had any bleeding or anything...Should I call my dr or will I seem crazy?

I was told at 14 wks that the baby hadn't made it and I would MC soon. The acutal MC took place at 16 wks. I had all the symptoms of still being preg. they never subsided. I never knew I was going to have a MC. I didn't have one sign that it was going to happen...no bleeding no cramps or anything until about a week before it happened. I could feel my uterus right above my pubic bone but not quite to my belly button. I am sorry for your loss if this something you are going through. It is hard but you will get through it I promise.
