Thanks everyone I'm going to try to get out. If not I will have to pay out since this isn't a safe place.. i have other issues as well.
.true enouqh i myself was a smoker &n have been but i have also stopped, if its not stated in the lease that the apartment complex is non-smokinq or that yu cant smoke (same thinq) then there os nothin yu can do about the people who choose to &n pay their rent just like yu...the best thinq yu can do is break yur lease &n move out because nothin is qonna chanqe just for one person weather yur preqnant or not especially if it wasnt already a rule when everyone siqned the lease, only thinq yu can dois look oit for the healh &n wwell-beinq of yur own child&n yourself if yu chosr to move there.
You can actually break your lease. Present a will thought out arguement on the grounds that your health and your baby's life is at steak and either they move you or you leave. Maybe print out papers that support 2nd have smoke being bad or bring medical report from doctor saying you need to move
My downstairs neighbors do the same thing, plus weed on top of that comes through our pipes. The weed i can handle cigarette smoke i cant. Luckly they dont chain smoke. If anything im having a problem with new noisy neighbors... i started putting plugs over the drains in the bathroom and kitchen. It seems to help. Or you can retaliate like i did, and spray Lysol or pour bleach or something down the drains lol
I was told 2nd hand Cigarette smoke is more dangerous for the baby than 1st hand. I will admit before I had my baby I was partying every weekend and I wouldn't ever smoke or drink during my pregnancy but I was around a lot of 2nd hand smoke and my placenta started shutting down and my doctor told it was causes from cigarette smoke. My baby stopped growing at 30 weeks and I was in the hospital on constant monitors until 36 weeks when I had a 4lb 9oz baby girl she was NICU for a week and stayed in the hospital 3 weeks. Just letting you know how serious it can be I would talk to your doctor as well.
I will get off work early today and see if they can move us.. but I tally doubt they will do anything. .
Complex manager doesn't do anything. We have already had tons of problems. Cooperate doesn't even answer my phone calls anymore. We have had flooding, mold, ect.. i have health issues as it issues is...
I used to be a smoker before I got pregnant and now cigarette smell makes me want puke! Beforr you go to the complex I would talk to your neighbors first and just be direct with them. Then if anything go to complex manager
Does your complex have another apartment you could switch to?
That's what happens to my apartment . But, I go to Wal-Mart & purchase their candles & stuff(: also, I have 3 wax burners & it makes my whole apartment smell soooo good!!!
The first words were
It s u c k s
why is that considered a bad word?
It *****.. i have got to find a way out of here... i can't deal with this for 6 more months... i guess all I can really do is talk to the complex and call cooperate but they never do anything. .
I would be so mad at my neighbors if I were you. I guess you could always try to explain the situation but some people are just jerks who don't care:/ im sorry that sounds horrible, I hope it works out:/
