My first pregnancy... Kind of freaking out :(

I'm right before 20 weeks and I just got the results for my Penta screening... They said it came up positive for Down syndrome... I've been looking up stories all night from other people and half of them says it was a false positive.. even my doctor said it was common. Has anybody else had this happen?!

ahh, that is scary and worrisome!  Do know that false positives are real and not uncommon.  This happened to my sister.  Went through her whole pregnancy quite worried and her baby did not have down syndrome.  But you will also need to prepare in case baby does.  Will hope for the best.  I was so shaken by what happened to my sister that I had no tests like that done.  Anyway, stay in touch and let us know how things unfold.  hugs

Yes alot of them have false positives I did 3 times and my kids were fine :)

Most of the time they come back positive bit it's a false positive

It is true that it could show a false positive. You can ask for a follow up test as well.
