Negative hpts Positive Blood Test?

Is it very common to have negative hpts and get a positive blood test? I got my blood test today and I find out the results tomorrow. I've taken several hpts. All negative. Right now I'm 12 days late. I want to have hope, but it seems unlikely.   =(  Anyone have any words of advice or encouragement?

Negative blood test =( Start meds tonight to get my period started again.

This actually happened last year to me. I was last for about 2 months, took about 20+ test, ALL came back negitive. I was having some changes, but I was on clomid so I just thought they were side effects. Well 3.5 months later, I went to take a blood test, because I swear up and down that I was just feeling way not myself, and come to find out I was prego. So I know it can happen.....good luck!

Just the missed period. I've been tired and one day I was dizzy the entire day. But other than that nothing. Which is unusual b/c I usually have lots of symptoms before af. But I don't have good luck =(

i have never really heard of this happening but then again it may i will pray 4 you r u having any signs of being pg?

I had that problem with both of my boys. I was late, didn't feel right and had negative hpt's and then had a positive blood test. This isn't likely though but a lot of things can conflict with urine tests to dilute them. I hope that you aren't holding out hope for anything =) Let us know how it all turns out for you!
