Not Ovulating: Are Hormone Levels Conducive to Conception?

I went off BCPs about 3 months ago. I know it can take a few extra weeks for your cycle to regulate after stopping the pills, but it's been going on for a while now. My doctor said although it's still on the tail end of normal, I should have ovulated by now because my periods were very regular before starting the pill. Anyway, she tested my hormones:

TSH - 2.11
T4 - 1.05
Prolactin - 14.62

Although they're all in normal range, are they optimal for conception? I keep reading that under 2 for TSH is best, and the closer to 1, the close you are to conceiving. Could my levels be affecting my ability to ovulate? What is going on? I have one more month before she starts me on Clomid. I don't understand.

And it can take up to 6 months for your body to regulate and begin ovulating again, after BCP.

Yes to the ovulation kits. Nothing.

It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive with the female IS ovulating. I'm not - which is why she wants to get me started. December will be almost 5 months.

It actually can take up to 6 months for your body to regulate after birth control, so it may just take you longer. TSH should be under 2, closer to 1.5-1, but mine has always been just under 2, (with medication for an underactive thyroid) and I've conceived fine both times. Thyroid issues can effect your reproducing, but you're so close to normal I wouldn't think it'd cause an issue at all. She's starting you on clomid after just 3 months of getting off from BC pills and trying to get pregnant? Most doctors won't do ANYTHING until you've tried for at least a year, because it can take a normal, healthy couple up to 1 year to conceive. I wouldn't stress, it will happen, sometimes it just takes longer. Are you using ovulation kits?
