Not tired at 5 weeks pregnant

I am roughly 5 weeks pregnant and while I am really nauseas, I have lots of energy.  I feel like I am on caffeine (which I am not).  Everywhere I read, I should be feeling really tired at this point.  While I am not complaining, it concerns me a little.  Anyone else out there that has experienced this?

Thanks for all of the replies - it definitely makes me feel better.

tones99 - we have the same due date - at least for now.  I don't have an appt until Nov. 29, so that should tell us more.  It's quite the coincidence though.

wanabb - My nausea started at 6 DPO as well, so if I have 5 more weeks of feeling energized, I am ok with that.  Work is crazy right now and I need all the energy I can get.

Thanks to everyone for the replies and good luck!!

reading this thread is great for me .. I'm 4 weeks 5 days and feeling fine .. my worry is that I had quite strong symptoms from a week ago that have faded in the last couple of days .. I can't believe that I want my nausea back!  I must be mad .. it is nice having enough energy to cook dinner after working all day but I kind of hope more symptoms will kick in soon!

I know exactly how you feel. I am 8 weeks today and just posted something similar. I don't think I'm feeling everything "i should be feeling" either. But I guess we should look at it as a blessing! :-)

you don't necessarily have to have every symptom to be pregnant.  Don't worry.... it will prob come.  At 8.5 weeks, I don't fel everything the book says I should.  Had my scan yesterday & everything is great. I felt good at 5 weeks too!

fatigue didn't start until 10 weeks for me but nausea started around 6 days after I ovulated.  don't worry everyone is different.

Not everyone experiences the same pregnancy symptoms and you are still early in your first trimester.  Some things don't pop up until 6-8 weeks along, so there is still time (but, I hope not for your sake).  Take it as a blessing that you have the energy to continue throughout your day!!!  Congrats on the pregnancy.
