OT- Black spot from nose ring

Hello Ladies!! I'm officially in the 2ww.
Anyway...I was going to post this in another forum but realized that I would probably get a better response here.

I've had a nose ring since I was about 18 and made the mistake of using silver studs. Now I have a black spot around my piercing that looks terrible. Any way of getting rid of this?
I've been thinking about taking my stud out but the stud at least hides the spot a little bit.

Any suggestions....anyone have this problem and how did you treat it?

I didn't have a black spot right away from the sterling silver either....it came after a couple years. It's cuz it tarnishes and then it stains your skin I guess. If you can try to change your stud to gold or surgical steel before this happens to your piercing! I see a dermatologist this month so I'm hoping to bring it up and see what she says.

I have my nose pierced but I think my studs are sterling silver. And I've only had mine for a year. So I don't have the black spot. I have no idea what you could use! You could call a piercer and ask them for their opinion.
