OT: .. does anyone watch Jon & Kate plus 8?

I love love this show... They actually live like an hour away from me ( alittle tidbit) but I don't know if you guys have ever watched the show but I just have to say kudos to kate .. how does she do it? I only have one child and I feel half nutty at times... All of the kids seem to be pretty well behaved .. and she is always doing such fun things with them... its really amazing to watch

thank goodness they live in central pa where the prices arent very outrageous... we have a pretty good standard of living but things here are relatively cheap compared to other cities

but think how much money they would have to make to live comfortably with a family of 10... it would have to be at least 200, 000 or more a year just to live comfortably for them.. They are both well educated people.. she is a RN and hes and It analyst.  Did you ever see the first ever show .. where they talk abot the pregnancy and how the doctor wanted Kate to get rid of some of the sextuplets and shes like absolutely not!!!  she had to be on bed rest in the hopsital for 3 months with the sextuplets and they came 4 1/2 weeks early

They get paid for doing the show, and I'm sure the show pays for a lot of the vacations, makes for good tv, lol.  Maddy's attitude is a little over the top, but how can you not like a little kid?  Not like her attitude, yes but her, she's a child... Just my opinion.  Good show, they have things easier because they are on tv and it pays them well.

I agree KUDOS to Kate! you can tell shes an amazing mom and wonderful person!! A lil bit bossy but hey who would not be with all that responsibility!!  Everything MJ.. said is true! But i do like the show its amazing to see the bk then espisodes and how they look today goodness they have grown up!! I wonder how they afford the vacations though its just me and DH and we have yet to afford even one lol!!

Ya know, you hardly EVER get to see much of Cara.  Maddy is SOOOO over the top and Cara is definitely overshadowed!!  Poor kiddo!

Unfortunately I feel like my 2.5 year old is a Maddy in the making!  Yikes!  :)

I LOVE this show!! My favorite episode would have to be when the babysitter (forgot her name) gives the little ones gum and it gets stuck everywhere "WE DONT CHEW GUM WHEN WE'RE 3!!" lol throwing away all their little teddy bears and stuff.. omg that was hilarious I laughed so hard I was crying..
Idk how I feel about Kate.. I think she gives the show a lot of comic relief.. and Jon is laid back enough to deal with her sh!t lol
And ya I don't like Maddie.. she's a brat.. I think she acts like that most of the time because of the cameras though.. who know's.. shes just bossy.. lol

Oh I love this Show.... Comes on every Monday night ( with tons of repeats) Kudos to both parents! LOL and your right if i had 8 kids I would probably be yelling too! But if you havent checked out the show yet, you should, its great!

hahaha.. i yell at my dh and i only have one kid :o) ... Could you imagine the stress that must be in that house.. some of the time? omg and when they were babies... imagine how many diapers and how much formula?... i bet they never slept for the first year

i watch the show and you know they have a lot of help when the cameras stop rollling. and maddie is s pain in the butt. she is a cry baby, and she does what ever the heck she want.( she is older than six.) my favorite is aiden, he is so adorable. and miss kate is not very mice at times. her husband has to put up with a lot of her ****. sje embarrased him in the stor while they were xmas shopping on one episode. and she screams and hollers. i don't like here. but i love the show. the kids are adorable.

Umm. I have *heard* of the show.. Don't they have like a bunch of kids under the age of 6 or something? Are they adopted or mulitiples or whats the deal w. this family? Maybe I will set up my DVR to record it if it is so good. You have me wanting to check it out!

I love the show, and we don't live that far from them either!  Kate just put out a book called Multiple Blessings, and I heard it's great.  DH bought me the seasons on DVD, against his wishes, but he didn't have many ideas for me.  I can't believe in the beginning that she was still working as a nurse on the weekends.  I do wonder when the kids all go to school full time if they will still have a show, and will Kate go back to work?  Oh, and their website is pretty good also.

I wonder how much help they get.. I mean, do the producers of the show help them afford nannies and babysitters when the cameras aren't rolling? They must need more of a break than just having her sister watch them once in a while!

Yes I watch it and I love it! They are "real". No fake ****. (atleast it doesnt appear to be lol) They are a pretty together family for having 8 kids! Shewww!

No...but some people I work with do and they talk about it at lunch sometimes...it sounds CRAZY!  I don't even have a child here to take care of (I'm pregnant) and sometimes I wonder how I'll handle one or two (dh wants 2).
