On antibiotics and have itching....

I am 9wks 2days I was put on antibiotics last Thursday for a chest infection, I've never had a yeast infection in my life I'm only 20, but last night after I had sex it burned when I pee'd and its been itchy for a couple of days down there, I was looking on the internet and it said both antibiotics and pregnancy both can cause yeast infections, and my symptoms are those of a yeast infection... I just don't know what to do, I already have an OB appointment for Nov. 14th.. I need help what do I do..???

Oh and for now drink plenty of water, keep away form sugars, eat yogurt and use cold compresses if you are itchy to the extreme!

Agreed with LosingmymindGA. I had a yeast infection at about 12 weeks with my first and I was told that you aren't supposed to use anything really for a yeast infection before 12 weeks. So I just hit the mark of being able to get the 5 day treatment.
I guess it's always good to take probiotics at the same time as taking antibiotics to help with that.

I would call your OB, explain your symptoms and see if they can get you in sooner.   A simple prescription for some vaginal cream will relieve your symptoms in a few days.  While most of the over-the-counter yeast infection products are safe during pregnancy, it is ALWAYS best to let your doctor prescribe or recommend one.
