Btw I'm now 33 weeks pregnant with a baby boy :)
I miscarried my first on January 11 2012 in September I was diagnosed with pcos. Prescribed metformin and my November 1st I was 6 weeks pregnant. Pcos is insulin resistance and cause you not to ovulate. It something to do with your hormones the first 12 weeks of pregnancy until the placenta takes over hormone production. I miscarried at just 8 weeks. There's a lot of info out there do your research.
Hi dont worry just keep trying.. I had my 1st baby without med while having PCOS.. Am trying for my second one... Its very frustrating to see ppl who do not appreciate kids getting them easily.. Well I am not giving up.. I hope you dont too.. This community is really helpful.. Makes me feel I am surrounded by ppl who understands..Hope to hear good news from you dear..
Thank you for answering!! Its just all so confusing.. I wish I knew what to do.. Doctors arent a great help in explaining.. Im just confused because my periods are ALWAYS on time, every 28 days.. I didnt think this can happen with pcos?... And im wondering if this is the reason i miscarried.. I just feel like WOW, what else can go wrong, 2 weeks ago every thing was perfect and now im heartbroken... What if this was my only chance to get pregnant and i lost it? .. Im sorry you have to deal with this too.. Its so frustrating!! I see drug-users and people who dont want babies get pregnant all the time and women who really want them and could do a great job find it hard, its so unfair.. Life ***** at times :/
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, I understand what you are going through, having gone through it a few years ago myself.
First, yes it is possible to have a successful pregnancy with PCOS. I've heard enought stories to believe it's true. But you will probably need your doctors help since PCOS does make it a little harder to do.
Unfortunately not many doctors explain what PCOS is or how it effects you and your life. PCOS is a problem in which a woman’s hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant (difficult but not impossible).
Don't let this scare you and don't give up! I have had this for some time and I am finally able to deal with the weight gain issues. And although my doctors say getting pregnant will be a challenge for me I'm not giving up.
Please feel free to ask me anything.
