PTSD And pregnant

Last night I cried really hard and I am worried if I hurt my baby and how often this may happen. I am ten and a half weeks pregnant. Does anyone have healthy living children now who had a really stressful pregnancy's? I'm worried my PTSD may hurt the baby.

I have had moments when I have near hyperventilated dealing with doctors.  I have a number of health problems and mild PTSD from a S.A. is part of it all.  I'm 16 weeks now and the baby is healthy and fine.  Even with the chronic stress I deal with.
I agree with everyone that you should talk to the doctor about it and maybe even a counselor.
I hope you start to feel better soon.  Things do get a little easier emotionally sometimes in the second trimester.

Crying isn't going to hurt your baby.  But you need to talk to your doctor and see what he/she suggests as a course of treatment.  I suffer from depression but have made it through several pregnancies without taking medication and my babies are all fine.  I'm also 28 weeks pregnant and have gone off my med again for this pregnancy.  I have good days and bad days.  Sometimes I cry a lot, sometimes I just get really angry.  So long as you are still taking care of yourself (eating right, excercising, not taking drugs or drinking, not hurting yourself etc) then everything should be just fine. You really do need to speak with your doctor though.

In what way are you worried it would hurt the baby. The stress alone from it, or doing something in particular.
