Pain on left side 15 weeks pregnant..Ovarian cyst?

I am going to be 16 weeks on wednesday.. The last couple of days when I feel on my left side I have a really sharp pain near my hip. Pretty much where my ovary is. About 7 months ago I went into the doctor for irregular periods and she had said that my left ovary was enlarged probably due to a cyst.

So now it hurts and I'm pretty nervous about it. I have a doctors apt in 2 weeks and I'm not sure what exactly I should do. If it is a cyst is there a cause for concern while pregnant?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I don't know about how the treat cyst on a pregnancy, my pcos has been mostly the hormonal imbalance. But I do know that I was getting pains much like I used to when o ovulated (sharp and on one side or the other) and when I asked my Dr he said they were just round ligament pains. He explained there are ligaments on that area that they are about 2-3 inches, pretty much from your hip to the top of your uterus pre-pregnancy and they grow with your pregnancy. Ouch! He said he swears their only purpose is to cause pain. :) but they also keep your uterus from twisting. Definitely ask your Dr, esp with having cyst pre-pregnancy as they can cause problems, but also keep in mind it could be stretching ligaments.

I believe that it should be monitored (not sure if they all have to be or not). They sent me for an ultrasound for a similar pain to check but it turned out to be a femoral hernia so I don't know anything more about how they treat cysts.
