Positive OPKs for 5-6 days in a row!

Hello,
For the last 5-6 days Ive been getting positive OPKs... I didnt think that could happen... Does anyone know why Id be getting positives for this long? Could I by chance be preggers? My last period was on 10/25 and mu cycle usually goes from 30-31 days... for the last week up until now Ive been kinda moody and tearful and my breasts have been kind of sore as well... While having intercourse we used the "pull out method" though not trying to get preggers we'd welcome it since in last September we lost our baby at 12 weeks... Anywyas, any advie on the OPKs would be great1 Thanks so much!!!

This is my first time taking Ovulation tests and the first day it came back positive, and it's now been 6 days and I have tested positive on all 6? Me and my boyfriend have been trying for 2 months, I fell pregnant last month but the egg detached... not sure if I'm pregnant again?

i would start a new thread, mami..

if you're getting 6 + OPK's i'd go ahead and test for pregnancy, or wait another week, just to hope for a more accurate result :)

good luck, I hope your wish comes true *********Bean Dust*********!!!!!

Is anyone still commenting on this post? I have just had 6 +opks in a row, I have done them for years and know what a positive is. I conceived my daughter (one and only child as of now) with Clomid. I am seeing a different Dr then I did with her and they just had me do Provera last cycle, I ovulated after that, this will be my second cycle after Provera, no Clomid and TTC. I don't have PCOS but I am anovulatory. Anyone have any updates to their experiences above?

I know how you feel I had 8 days of positive OPK. I decided after 8 I wasn't going to test anymore, I felt it was kinda of a waste to keep testing. So I'm waiting for when I can take the HPT. These past couple of days I've been feeling a slight cramping in the lower abdominal area and hoping this is implanting. I have PCOS as well, and I never had 8 days. Well I never tested OPK until I started clomid and it was only 2-3 days in a row. This is my first ttc after my m/c back in July without clomid. So I have no idea what is normal right now.

I have done some research and the long positive OPK can be from many things like the ovary not getting enough hormones (progesterone I think) to get the egg to mature and burst out.

I hope for all of the positive news on your end.

It is extremely hard not to get our hopes up so high, esp. when we feel what we are hoping to be pregnancy symptoms instead of the dreaded pms symptoms. I have tried nearly everyting I could think of to not think about it, I am a stay at home mother and partner to my husbands business so being home with my daughter and watching a 7month old baby girl makes it even more difficult not to think about it. Did you take another ovulation test? Seeing positives for so many days gets so confusing. My hubby said next month you are buying the digital ovulation tests so there is no confusion! LOL Also when he got home from work I called him in the bedroom and asked him to feel "me" to see if he thinks there are any difference, he said "wow, your right one feels really firm and they look perkier" now I am a 36DD and perky hasn't been "in" for me since I was 13! Ha Ha I hope we are pregnant this month! Have you had these "pms" since ovulation, right after ovulation? Keep me posted as will I!!!

It's hard to distinguish between actual pain and pain induced by the brain! This cycle I I "feel" everything I mentioned above which normally I get right before AF arrives. However what concerns me is I have had extremely sore breasts since 4dpo and today I am 12dpo and they still hurt, maybe its rel or maybe its my head!!! LOL I am new to this sort of site and if this question is inappropriate please do not get offended but did you turn out to be pregnant with a sticky bean? Some people do not update their stories, so its hard to get actual "real life" feedback.

*fingers crossed* Hope this is our month!

Right now I have some bloating, Im kind of moody, been easily put in the mood this whole time of getting these positive OPKs, and today my other half stated to me that my breasts seemed a bit firmer... Im sure these are also all signs of pms too... Ive got my hopes up so high...

My first symptoms of pregnancy occured at about 8-10dpo or so, actually from the day of ovulation... I had some cramping and bloating. It never really left because by the end of the day I was bloated, and that was my first clue. (we were TTC.... and I was really hoping for a sticky bean)

I bought a 20 pack of First Resp. Ovulation tests for the month to be safe.My Af was here 10/22/09-10-29-09. I started testing about 4 days after my period 11/02/09; I have a 32 day cycle. On thursday 11/5/09 in the P.M. (5ish) it was really + slightly darker line; friday 11/6/09 A.M. (7ish) still very + slightly darker line - continued to be positive up until 11/10/2009; tested again 11/11/09 and it was negative much lighter lines. (I know I am a POAS addict, bought a month supply and they'll expire before I could use them again!). Ever since 4DPO my breasts have been really sore and I am alreay 11DPO and they are still sore; AF is not due yet for 6 days. Very un-nautural for my breasts this early in the game! I have been taking the cheapie dollar tree tests daily until I get some sort of 'clue' "hopefully"--- they have all been NEGATIVE :( which it stil may be too early. I am hoping this is OUR month!!! Baby Dust and Lots of it to you! Let me know your progress??? And I know I get side tracked but I have not came up with a reason for our + ovulation tests for that long...I called my 8 month pregnant sister and asked her to take one and she said they were very close to being positive! Weird!

The test and control line are the same color.... No matter what I always get a form of 2 lines but during this week they have been the same color... I will take another one in a few hours and I'll try to get a picture up. :)

I went through the same thing a few months ago.. I would always test positive on OPK starting as early as CD7 or CD8 till the whole next week... I then got to know that it was due to my PCOS that the LH level always stays high enough to be detected in OPK. I took treatment for PCOS and am now 9 wks pregnant.
I would not want to scare you into believing it is definitely pcos, it could have been an exception for me. There are studies saying that PCOS is often associated with elevated LH levels.. but if you are ttc, it would be a good idea to get a diagnosis done to rule out pcos.. Good luck!

what treatment did you get for pcos?

Well, are you getting definite positives? Can you put up a picture of them in your profile?

because sometimes ppl think they're getting positives when really it's just the hormone surge still being detected so they're getting 2 lines, but the test line isn't as dark or darker than the control.

Try a Clear Blue Digital test. I took mine on CD12, and my HCG levels were low, only 27. it came out PREGNANT. lol

I'm now 34 1/2w and will soon be having my second little boy!

Have you taken a pregnancy test yet? If you are pregnant you will get a positive opk because opks test for LH, which is present before ovulation and in pregnant women. HPTs only test for hcg, which is only present if you're pregnant. Peeonastick .com explains it in greater detail. I would definitely do a HPT.
