Pregnant again after miscarriage

I am pregnant again after a miscarriage in July. I figure I am about 5 1/2 weeks but havent had my first doctor appointment yet. (Hopefully they can get me in next week) Anyway with my first pregnancy which I lost at about 8 weeks but had been told I would miscarry at 6 weeks, I felt great the whole time. I only had a few waves of nausia (sp) and a little heartburn now and then. I had almost no problems until right before my DandC. With this one I am already having cravings (mostly sweet potatoes) I have severe heart burn and my stomach get queasy several times a day though I have yet to vomit. I also get EXTREMELY tired very easily, and usually need a nap after work. Ive heard these can be good signs because the "morning" ( yeah right how about morning noon and night) sickness is a sign your hormones are raising and that is what is making you sick. My HCG levels were not raising correctly before and that was the telltale sign I was miscarrying. Am I right that it is a good sign Im not feeling well? I have to get in to the doc soon but right now my nerves are shot. I worry at every little twinge in my lower stomach and i am constantly checking to make sure im not bleeding again. Please help me calm my nerves.

First of all CONGRATS!  Your signs do sound good, my pregnancy was much the same, I felt great, no Morning sickness or anything, just sore boobs.  I lost the baby at 6 weeks, but miscarried at 11.  But I thought I was crazy because I keep thinking to myself that next time I get pregnant I want the morning sickness and everything else because at least that way I have some sign that I am still pregnant.  But I am sure that all of your feelings right now are normal, and I would try to relax and not stress (at least as much as possible, since I know that is probably asking THE WORLD right now) and get into your doc asap.  They should be able to reassure you.  I am sure everything is alright, 90% of women who miscarry go on to have perfectly fine pregnancy's afterward, so I am sure you are alright.  Good luck to you, and congrats again!
