Hey I am going through a similar situation, I had a d&c in mid april, period in may, and pregnant in June. I am very nervous, I go to the doc on monday and I am praying for good news but as soon as I called my doctor about the faint test that I got he brought my in to test my levels. You maybe should check into another physican especially if he wont do a blood test even if it is just confirmation for you. From what I heard by the 5th week after m/c your hcg should be very low and your numbers should tell the difference between a pregnancy and hormones on that test. But is there an update on your situation. Wishing you all the best of luck!!!!
Congratulations :) , Im going to go to the walk in centre today and get an opinion from them because i am feeling a little iffy today, will keep you posted, thankyou ALL for your advice its much appreciated :) xxxxxxx
First of all I want to say I'm sorry for your loss , second is I think you should go to a clinic and try a blood test or urine test, tell them what happend to u and they should be able to help u. I hope that all goes well and ill keep you in my prayers :)
(6 and a half months pregnant with my first) he's a boyyy :)))
I agree, a darker line means most likely you ARE pregnant. I don't know why your doc wouldn't do a blood test for you; that doesn't seem right, :(
I have conceived immediately after a m/c, and it was a healthy normal pregnancy. Goofd luck!
When the line on hpt is faint my doctor told me it means an early pregnancy (when I got pregnant the first time that happen, I m/c that pregnancy, I was barely 3 weeks) the fact that it is getting darker on hpt would indicate that the hcg levels are increasing. There is a chance that your hcg levels are still high due to the m/c being so recent I'm sure that is why your midwife wont see you until next month.
Take care of yourself over the next month until your appointment, act like you are pregnant just in case and start back on your pregnancy vitamins. If it turns out that your not pregnant it wont hurt you.
Best of luck :)
Thankyou to both of you for your advice, congratulations to both of you by the way, Ireally do feel pregnant again as after i miscarried all my symptoms dissapeared, over the last week or so i my breasts have become really tender again and i have been feeling quite nauseaous. Fingers crossed ay ? I will keep you informed of what happenns, Again , thankyou very much for your advice xx xx
I know how you feel as ive been in your shoes and it is very hard. I know its easier said then done but try not to worry because putting your body through the stress is not good for baby. I am currently 13 weeks pregnant after 2 mc's and a chemical pregnancy in the last year. You will need 2-3 blood test dont to make sure the hcg hormone is rising properly but some doctors wont monitor you close like that until you have had 2-3 mc's in a row.
So sorry to hear you have recently miscarried your baby, i know what you are going through as i had a miscarriage last year. I had a D&C operation after my miscarriage due to continuous heavy blood loss for days. I thought i was pregnant roughly 5 weeks after my miscarriage as well after taking numerous tests, all showing a faint line. However it turned out it was just hormones from my previous pregnancy. This might not be the case with you. It is a horrible wait but you will find out soon enough. If it turns out your not pregnant, try not to be too upset, you can always try again. I miscarried last year at the end of October. Now i'm 14 weeks pregnant, i always worry because of what happened with my last pregnancy, but each day i become more hopeful. Good luck to you, don't hesitate to post more questions, when i was going through this stage i found the ladies on hear so helpful, nice and supportive. Hope this helps
Thankyou for your reply, i did call my doctor but they wouldnt do blood tests. I might try calling the other hospital near to where i live and see wether they will do them for me, i just hate not knowing, and every little twinge is worrying, I will do another test in a few days and see what that one says.
Fingers crossed xxx
There really is nothing more you can do on your own other then hpt's. Only other way is to test by blood and then monitor it to make sure levels are rising like they should. Maybe there is a clinic of some kind you can go to before getting into your midwife. I wish you the best for you and your family.
