I've been told that putting lemon in the water helps, as it is a natural diuretic.
I hadn't even thought about my BP. Its normally very low so i'll be sure to check it today. I drank more water yesterday in hopes that it would help. My feet were better but hands were worse. I don't work today so maybe a day without typing much will help too.
Drink more water, keep your feet elevated when possible, rest when possible, light exercise may help the circulation, laying on your left side promotes the best circulation, applying lotion and getting a massage would feel good, as far as your hands go limit repetative movement such as typing, you can get wrist bands for carpel tunnel if it gets worse or you notice your hands going numb... and yes its important that you get you BP checked to make sure its still within normal limits....
i swelled up so bad last time that it was all the way up into my abdomen(pitting edema)... and i had no feeling in my fingers at all for a good 2 months... yuor circulation and the addition blood flow combined with the giant tummy that may limit the blood flow to your lower extremities can cause a crazy amount of swelling! BUT again so can peeeclampsia... so make sure your get your BP checked... my BP wasnt effected at all by the swelling.... heres hoping we dont have a repeat this round :) and yes always inform your caregiver about any changes.
Have you spoken to your midwife/caregiver? This isnt a symptom that they like to see, a little swelling is ok, but it sounds like yours is a little excessive, I would give them a call to check if they want to see you...
