Severe headaches at 32 weeks

Well for those of u who dont know, im 32 weeks currently. I have been having severe migraine headaches for weeks now but within the past 2 weeks they have gotten alot worse. I have been having issues with my blood pressure and that is a factor but ive been on bed rest and put at an office job and brought my blood pressure down so it shouldt be that anymore. its getting to be untolerable. its in my ears, my eyes, the top of my head, just everwhere. I work at a clinic and had the nurse practioner look at my ears cuz i thought maybe an ear infection. She said they were fine but had them flushed out anyways. it did nothing. she also said i dont have much sinus drainage to cause it either. It sometimes seems to slightly effect my vision at times. Tylenol doesn't help at all, ive even took a tylenol 3 cuz it got so bad and it just doesnt touch the pain... what could this be. im started to get really worried

oh girl labor and migraines are so very different, lol. I had a blast giving birth both times, and the first time my epidural had almost completely worn off so I felt about 95% of the pain and the 2nd time the epidural stopped working almost immediately and the anesthesiologist said I was such a difficult stick that he wouldn't do it again,s o I felt that labor completely once it got to the pushing...and I would do that again on a weekly basis if I could. the migraines, however, can stop me in my tracks. so it's not about being a wuss or not being able to handle labor...it's about quality of life and the fact that pain, especially severe pain, releases stress hormones in the body that are not good for you or the baby, so you need to take steps to ensure that you're doing what you need to do to lower the pain...whether that's taking off of work to lie in a dark room when they occur or simply taking pain meds, you need to take care of YOU and not worry about seeming to be a wuss...migraine are not a joke and they can be quite debilitating...anyone who has ever had a good one knows the truth in that, and anyone who has never had one thinks they're "just headaches" but we know beter.

ive told my OB about the headaches but not that theyve been as bad as they have been. no one seems as worried about them as ive been so it makes me feel just kind of stupid if you know what i mean. plus i try not to cry in front of dh about them cuz im wanting to go all natural and i dont want him thinking i cant do it cuz i cant handle migraines ya kno?

I am so sorry hon I can relate completely....I've always had migraines, but with my daughter they got slowly better until they were gone by the time I delivered...a few months post-partum, they came back, and once I got pregnant with my son they worsened and worsened until they were unbearable near the end. I was able to control them with regular tylenol or at worst Tylenol #3 until the end of the 2nd trimester when I started having to take lortab...and near the end I had to take percocet because the pain had me gasping and gagging it was so bad (and this from a woman who has passed kidney stones while pregnant without pain meds lol). I was also going nearly completely blind and my face and arms were going numb and I was occasionally passing out...but they tested everything. heart, lungs, blood sugar, blood pressure (always on the low side, never even once high) and eventually they had to induce me about 3 days before my due date because it had gotten so bad. so I can totally relate. All you can do is keep checking your urine and blood pressure, and other than that either deal the best you can or allow them to treat you with pain medicine...with my toddler in my care 24/7 I didn't have any option but to take the pain meds. you just may have to take off of work for your health..I know it ***** but you've got 10 weeks at the most until your child is here and your husband may just have to come to terms with the fact that this is one part of parenting; sacrificing to care for ourselves so we can better care for our little ones.

i sure hope you don't have it happen like I did; maybe they'll just magically go away. everyone kept telling me that when I was pregnant "but migraines usually go away or at least get better when you're pregnant" and I was like well..fantastic. mine didn't. lol

msg me if there's anything i can help you with.

i was on my feet 9 hrs a day, this week i was out on a desk job. i get up every hour to walk around but thats it. my blood pressure had been fairly good this week. even got down to 118/74 which is great. i just dont know what to do anymore. I dont think my DH would agree with my leaving work unless doc said so

Maybe you should leave work, you might not think it would work but my midwife signed me off work and it took me a while to catch up with myself, I did a job where I was on my feet 9 hours a day, now I feel rested and no stress and for the first time today my blood pressure was 134/78 which it's not been that low for a long time! I swear it's because I've rested and finally just stood back and thought about myself.

Maybe you should ask about the meds for the blood pressure cos I'd hate to think you'd have to have the little one early you seem to be getting worse symptoms by the week
