We waited 3 weeks and it wasn't painful. I had a c section though
I had a third degree tear and it STILL hurts to have sex 3 and a half months later :( good luck!
Another reason to wait is because all your lady parts and insides need time to settle back in their normal positions
I had my son 10 days ago, stopped bleeding yesterday and i also have 3 different sets of stitches from 2nd degree tears. one of them has healed and come out in my underwear, idk about the rest but i have no pain or swelling at all...i want to get back to being intimate but i'm still scared of any pain that'll be involved so i think its safest to wait until you mentally AND physically want to have sex. also, make sure to use condoms to avoid another pregnancy as its really easy to concieve after birth.
I was wondering the same thing. I got second degree tear on the lower left side. Its almost been two weeks and i can tell it has gotten a lot better cuz when i go to the washroom i dont feel any swelling or stitches down there. But im still bleeding. So sex will have to wait still
When you go for your 6 week check up they will check and tell you ... I personally would wait till they say its ok just so you don't risk infection or retearing some people heal quicker then others
it was uncomfortable, not in comfortable
Yea I waited about 3 weeks and it was in comfortable. And I couldn't stand my man to put him fingers in there for a few months. (tmi sorry) but I think that was mostly from being traumatized form getting my cervix checked. I was 18 and it hurt horribly. I wasn't prepared.
I had a pretty bad tear with my first baby.. I think I had sex for the first time 3 or 4 weeks after giving birth and it was pretty uncomfortable. It stayed that way for a few months at least. They say to wait 6 weeks though
