Short torso.

Can having a short torso cause more pain/discomfort while pregnant? For two weeks my left side, mainly right where my ribs end, has been killing me. With no insurance at the moment I can't really ask a doctor or make an appointment to nEw sure it's normal. I'm 15w2d.

The ER? If you live in the US, it's illegal for them to refuse you without insurance. They have to see you regardless and then you just have to set up payment plans with them. The health clinic though, I don't know about them. They might want some kind of payment up front.

And if you mean a doctor period, I don't have insurance either. I'm just self pay. It's going to cost about 4000 total before my baby is delivered and then I will have to pay so much to the hospital for the actual delivery. Just call around. There is someone who will take you, just be ready to pay a lot out of pocket.

I gotcha. Well I would definitely call your local ER and just ask to speak to a nurse. Explain your situation and just ask for their opinion. The worst that can happen is they're jerks and then you can turn around tomorrow and go to a health clinic during hours or something along those lines. Also, you can ALWAYS go to the ER and be seen, they cannot turn you down, you'll just have to pay it out with no insurance. Have you been to the doctor at all yet?

I just didn't know if it were too soon for rib pain since the baby is still pretty low. And I've heard rib pain is mostly on the right side. So I just don't know if I should be concerned or not.

Rib pain is pretty common in pregnancy. I'm not telling you not to go to the doctor, but a lot of women do experience rib pain. I've had it myself since around 10 weeks, but it's mostly on the right side. Now that LO is bigger, I can tell that's where  his feet are. I would try calling a nurse hotline or even the ER hotline, they should atleast be able to tell you if they think it's serious enough for you to come in right away regardless of your insurance status.
