Should I be feeling my baby move and how often?

I start week 19 tomorrow and have been wondering about my baby moving. Sometimes I feel fluttering and it will come and go throughout the day. Then other days I really don't feel much of anything. I have read that it may be early to feel movements but when I do feel it I definitley know its the baby. Its just scary to feel it move and then not to feel it move. When have you other ladies felt fluttery movements and were they consistent everyday at 18-19 weeks pregnant?

I am 19 weeks today, and like you only feel flutters sometimes...and not everyday either. I think this is the stage where we anxiously wait for the Grand Kick! Trust me, I cant wait...although Im sure I have felt it a few times, I cant guarantee that it was the baby. A few more weeks and we will be feeling it all the time and it will be wonderful til it kicks us sooo much we want it to sleep :)

With my first, I didn't feel anything really consistent that I knew FOR SURE was the baby until about 20 weeks.  This time, I started feeling movement at 14 weeks.....but it didn't get more consistent/strong until I was about 18 weeks. It started off as tapping, progressed to fluttering and now that I'm nearly 30 weeks, it's more like poking. If this is your first pregnancy, it's perfectly normal to not detect movement until you're a bit further along.  Keep in mind that some babies are move active than others as well.

I didnt feel movements at 19 weeks. Only flutters sometimes. But they grew stronger around 21 weeks. Dont be worried. It will be alright.

When I was pregnant with my First.18 weeks... She did not move every day. She took sleeping breaks. Some babys even have patterns. If you get scared talk to your doctor. My daughter would go 2 or 3 days without a single movement. The doctors said she was just in a deep sleep. Like I said if your worried call your doctor and make an appointment to talk to her. Everything is going to be fine.

As i was just finish writing all this, he started to move what a stinker!! LOL
