Should I be worried? (TMI warning)
I've been wearing pantiliners for a while now since I've had an increase in discharge after my BFP...well earlier I felt extra wet down there, and I just now had to pee so I went and my pantiliner looked like I peed in it. It wasn't really damp at all, but it's been probably half an hour since I felt extra wet. I normally have a moment of feeling extra wet once in a while, where I leak a little more discharge, and it's usually EWCM. I can see it on the pantilier, so I know what it is...but this looks more like it was watery, and it went from one end of the pantiliner to the other, I'm surprised because I didn't feel it all over it I just saw it...the discharge in it was a yellowish/almost light brown color...I put on a new one and I'm gonna wait a little while and check it every hour and see what happens...but should I be concerened? That was a lot of liquid, and I know it wasn't pee I can tell when I pee...or when I leak pee.
I think that's what I'll do...it's probably better to call Monday than wait until Friday...I'll just ask them to leave a note for my dr...if I need another appointment she can put in a request for one, and they call me and tell me when they have available. They've been doing that with my appointments...I haven't called to set one up yet aside from the very first one.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the macrobid is causing my urine to change color. I heard that the yellow discharge was normal in pregnancy also, but I wanted to get it checked out just in case, then I had noticed some greenish discharge. I remember I went in on a friday to see a different midwife bc mine had left early to deliver a baby. She was so rude and had diagnosed me before she even looked or did the pap. She treated me for BV and yeast then. By sunday morning I had a rash all over my torso and had to go back in on Monday. My midwife did a repeat pap and there was no infection and I still had the yellow discharge. In the beginning of my second trimester the yeast infection made another appearance and it was just the yellow discharge again and when I took the diflucan it cleared right up and I had no more yellow discharge. I had a yeast infection that was caused by my antibiotics once before and I itched so bad I couldn't stand it! I would call your doctor on monday and ask if the think you need to make an appt just in case you do develop a yeast infection. Or you could just call and make an appt for after you finish your meds anyways. I'm not so sure that they can deny you an appt, especially since you're making sure your infection is gone and that you didn't get a secondary infection.
The UTI medicine is probably what caused your urine to cahnge color. I had the same thing happen when I had a UTI before I ever got pregnant the first time. I have the same thing, Flagyl, for the BV. That's weird that one of your symptoms of the yeast infection was yellow discharge, because I've read that it's a normal thing during pregnancy to have yellow discharge...and I've had it for at least 14 weeks or so, my first appointment with PAP was at 15 weeks, and the dr didn't say anything. If it supposedly deverlops within a week then I might wait to call or just try calling...I don't know. I hate that you can't call a dr's office and just ask advice...I mean what harm could come from them telling me to set up an appointment or wait? If they said wait it would be about 2 weeks from my last pill, if they said set one up they might be so booked that the next appointment isn't until after my next scheduled one...the least they could do is tell you to schedule one..
I'm on macrobid and flagyl for BV and a UTI right now. I started taking it tuesday and I have to take it for 7 days, twice a day. I have an appt with my midwife on Thursday so she'll need to check me for a yeast infection then. I feel like I have to pee and when I go...there's literally not much there. lol. Since taking the meds I have noticed more discharge and my pee turned a bright yellow (they said one of the antibiotics would discolor my urine.) When I had a yeast infection during the first trimester the only thing I noticed was a lot of yellow discharge. It was thick and yellow, but I really had no other symptoms...maybe some mild cramping. The ER dr told me that if you were to set up a yeast infection from the meds that it would develop within a week of finishing them.
Well how will I know? I already feel like everything is a little swollen, but it's felt different since almost the beginning. The dr said it definitely wasn't yeast last night. BUT if it turns into one how will I know? Should I just schedule an appointment for a few days after my weeks worth of antibiotics (which are oral BTW). Next Friday night is when I'd take my last pill, there 2x a day for 7 days. So I'll have to either set it up Friday for sometime the next week or wait until Mon...I guess I could just call next Friday and ask, well ask them to ask the dr what she thinks cause God knows they won't give me any advice...UGH! I feel like a first time preggo, LOL...so many questions...each pregnancy definitely is different!

I thought that something was wrong with my bladder because I had to pee literally every 15 minutes and I would only go a little bit but it felt like my bladder was so full it was going to explode. It's not a typical symptom but for me I know that when I start going frequently with just alittle bit of urine I have BV.
You always have yeast and BV in your system. It's an over growth of it just like a yeast infection is an over growth of yeast.
If your on an oral antibiotic you might develop a Yeast infection so just watch for that.
I got BV and Yeast infection so bad early in this pregnancy. I ended up in the ER not able to pee at all and had to get a catheter. Everything was so swollen I couldn't go. It was not fun I had no symptoms at all which was weird to me.
I would probably schedule a follow up before the 10th to make sure it is gone and you don't have a yeast infection from the antibiotics.

He did do a pelvic to and was going to test for it, but let me leave since it was late and was going to talk to my dr today and supposed to call me back with my results. The waiting for the 10th question is for a follow up after I'm done with the medication.
I had BV with my first. I was told that left untreated it can lead to a MS, so I took the medicine. But he should have tested you to make sure that is what you have. It does have a distinct odor and my discharge was a gray color (TMI). I wouldn't wait until the 10th though.
Got my medication. I'm gonna start it tomorrow and just take it at the same time as my zantac since they're both twice a day.

it just happens when your vaginal bacteria gets seriously out of whack and starts a cascade of events where the infection just keeps getting worse and worse until it's harder to treat than a normal infection. it's not an STD or anything although sex can make it worse, and since you guys are probably not using a condom since you're pregnant all the bacteria on his penis can make it worse.
the symptoms are discharge, sometimes itching, sharp pain, sometimes it can infect the cervix...it just takes some strong antibiotics and you have to watch ot make sure that it clears up or it can hang around for a long time.

Well, it was nothing and maybe isn't nothing. I'm not leaking anything which is good. BUT I might have BV? How the heck do you get BV, and what are the symptoms? The dr said he noticed an "odor" nice right? Totally embarassed...

LOL. I was about to message you when I saw you had replied...and of course, "we need to see you". I asked about the constant leak thing and she said that I could have a "high leak" which would be why I wouldn't have a constant flow if I really am leaking.

Yeah..that's why I was thinking it can't be my water leaking...I'm gonna call in a few minutes. Josh just got home and I didn't tell him about it ealier when I talked to him, so I'm gonna go talk to him and then call. I'll be back soon, even if just to say I'm going on a hopefully pointless trip to L&D.

I'll probably go to Walmart and see if I can find the kit...and I'll give it a little while longer and see if anything shows on my liner. I don't want to go in over nothing, but I'll call and ask what they say...

sorry i meant to say kits not kids, lol. but seriously if you're this worried you should probably be seen..i know it really ***** but i'm worried about you and you need to make sure you and little miss Mikayla or Brielle are safe!
hm well the watery part of my discharge was clear too, only every now and then did the thick gunk come out...you can always try getting one of those test-for-yeast-infection kids that monistat makes, because it really sounds like that to me...but you know, girl, if you think it might be your waters you need to be seen...no way around that. but you could always check and see if it's an infection first.
The thing that really creeped me out is that it felt like it was all of a sudden. I got this wet feeling and then about half an hour later went to pee and saw the liner...I haven't had any color or anything since...I've been wearing the same liner since I changed earlier, and it looks like I just put it on...
sounds like a yeast infection, Sab! i had the exact same thing when I was pregnant with Grey..I had lots of discharge and suddenly it got more watery, and the color was kind of yellowish and very much like EWCM. I didn't go in to get it looked at until I noticed spotting, because I was already so far along when it happened, but the yeast infection was pretty bad by then....but that's what it sounds like to me and I didn't ahve any itching/pain until literally the day I went to get checked for the spotting.
*bump* Any other suggestions, I already know if I call the dr they'll just tell me to come in, and I don't want to sit in L&D forever for nothing...especially since it's a half hour drive and I don't want to go alone...AND since we're new here I don't know anyone well enough to ask them to watch Elijah...and I've been to the ER for myself with Elijah before..it's not fun for a two year old.
