Spotting/brown discharge

Sorry if all this is TMI. For the past 3 days I've been having some brown discharge when I wipe. Sometimes it was lighter brown and sometimes it was more of a darker brown. Today it's dark brown and I've noticed some spotting with it. So far the spotting doesnt look bright red and it's only when I wipe. I'm still unsure if I'm pregnant or not. I've given up using HPT's cause it was just getting to expensive and disappointing, so I'm waiting for my ultrasound appointment on the 9th to tell me what's going on with me. Does anyone know what the discharge/spotting could be? should I be worried?? I'm very confused with all of this.

I'm 21 years old and I had intercourse several times without a condom but the guy would always pull out real quick before he would squirt. This month I have not at all gotten a real red blooded period and the first week  got pink/dark brown the first two days. After two days it stopped. Then in the same month I am getting it again except it's been two days. How much can old blood take to get out of my body? It sickens me at the sight. I took two pregnancy tests at the very beginning of those two first days I ever had gotten those spotted pink/brown spots on my panties and both of those pregnancy tests turned out to be negative. I have recently been urinating a lot and it's like every two seconds I need the bathroom. I'm sick of the bathroom and I wish this would go away soon. My stomach has been irritating me lately and I have been sleeping on my stomach side down against the mattress. That's the only way I know how to sleep besides on my side. Everyday though I eat small meals without noticing because I end up feeling sick and can't eat anymore of them. Like today I could not even finish my whole hamburger  and I had to eat half and then waited to eat the other juicy half. What do I do? I'm trying to get married in the summer with this guy because I do not do it to just anyone but him. I need advice but I can't go to the doctors because my parents has not met him yet. It would be a disgrace to find out that their daughter had sex before marriage. I agree and I don't intend to have sex anymore unless me and the guy are married. On that note, every time I wake up I hear my stomach growl every morning like I am about to get my period or my stomach is hungry but not sure which one because I sleep through breakfast time. I'm a good girl and I hope I get a good response to help me. Thank you for reading.

well I just went to the bathroom again and the bleeding has still stopped but now i have a lot of discharge. It doesnt really have any colour to it and no odor either. It looks mucusy.  I have no clue whats going on with me, but now I really think I should try and see my GP or go to the emergency room.

Sounds weird - I'd call your normal doctor and try to get in...

nope there weren't any clots, i thought it was my period cause yesterday in the morning when i woke up it seemed pretty heavy but it got lighter and lighter throughout the day. Barely even needed a pad, didnt use a tampon, didnt need to. It completely stopped last night after only like 18 hours of bleeding, and since then i've had nothing, not even spotting. It just totally stopped.

Were there any clots? I was told by my dr's office that the bleeding shouldn't be enough to fill a tampon...  for spotting during a pregnancy.

Well now I'm confused again. After only about 18 hours of bleeding its completely stopped. It never got overly heavy and it stayed darkish red. I have no clue what's going on with me. I think if it starts again over night or in the morning I'm gonna go to ER just to get checked out, maybe even if it doesnt start again I should, cause less than 24 hours of bleeding seems very odd. There also wasnt really any cramping with it, just extremely mild discomfort, barely even noticeable.

I've taken 7 HPT's so far and they were all negative. I've also had blood tests done twice from going to the walk-in clinics and they were also both negative. They last time I did any testing was 10 days ago and I would have been about 8 weeks. The ultrasound is sort of a means to an end, the final chance to see if maybe all the tests are just wrong somehow. I'm not going to the doctor again before the ultrasound appointment. I dont know if maybe things are done differently in the states, but here where I live the ultrasound is done by a technician and the results are sent to the doctor and they tell you. The technician isnt allowed to by law tell you what they see. But I guess I could mention to the technician as they're doing it that I think I could be pregnant and see what happens. I guess I could do one more HPT before friday as well, just to see if maybe after 2 weeks it'll be different.

Yeah if you wait for just the ultrasound and don't say anything  (such as requesting a blood test) you could be gravely disappointed because even if you are pregnant there may or may not be evidence of that if it is too early in the ultrasound.

Ask for a blood test on Friday when you go in to the dr.  I'd mention something fo rsure b/c if they're checking organs - specifically ovaries -they might not look at your uterus - and you'd have no answers!  Rule of thumb is if you get a negative HPT wait a week and re-test. I was just reading a post by a woman who said her sister didn't get a positive test until her 3rd month...  You never know until you either get a positive test or AF comes...  the waiting and guessing sucks in the mean time!!

I dont think I spelled it right actually, but it has to do with the placenta and how its forming or something like that.  My periods have never ever been regular. Its always been a guessing game for me as to when it would come, even when I was on the pill. It wasnt a normal/high dose of the pill, it was a very low dose for the purpose of regulating my cycle and controlling acne, but I stopped it at the beginning of May after 2 years cause it wasnt really working. I have been to doctors, well a walk-in clinic, and it didnt really do much good at all. I was able to see my GP and managed to get an appointment for an ultrasound this friday. The GP thinks I have IBS though, and is only checking me for any abnormalities with my organs and my ovaries. I didnt even really mention to him that I suspected I could be pregnant, I'm just hoping/assuming that if I am they'll see it on the ultrasound and tell me.

I've never heard of subchoronic bleeding.  I have a friend who had 'light' periods for 5 months and finally went in to the dr and turns out she was pregnant.  Hopefully it's just stress for you.  Are your periods normally regular?  Do you have a dr appt scheduled?

I've been reading some information online, and I think I've come to the conclusion that its either my period just coming really late or it's subchoronic bleeding. If I am pregnant I'd be 10 weeks tomorrow, and a lot of the info about subchoronic bleeding that i've read said if it happens its usually around this time. Anyone have any thoughts about that??

well... i am one that had brown spotting for a week before each period for 4 years so i have learned that brown spotting is a sign that your period is on its way.  I also spotted for 9 weeks of my pregnancy, light brown, dark brown, and pink.  the doctor told me while i was pregnant that the brown blood will get darker when you are about to stop spotting.  sure enough, one day it was really dark brown and a bit thicker and that was the last day that i spotted.  good luck

well i'm definitely not on fertility meds, I'm only 20 and im not ttc, so thats not it. I guess I just have to wait a few days and see what happens. Perhaps the bleeding will get heavier and i'll be able to tell if its a period or not.

I've been told that brown is old blood and red is new blood.  Brown discharge is a side effect of some fertility meds. There have been times when I've spotted brown for about 2 days prior to getting my period...

well I just went to the bathroom again, as I'm peeing at least once every 2 hours, and it has become a bit brighter red. Its still not enough to need a pad or even a panty liner really, it hasnt stained my underwear, it seems to only be when I wipe. But the change in colours is concerning me more now. Can anyone help??

I'm really not sure what day I'd be on, my periods have never been regular. My lmp was August 27th, only possible date of conception in September 1st, which is just 2 days after my period ended. I had some bleeding from September 21st - 25th, but it wasnt normal period bleeding. And nothing since the 25th until the weird spotting and brown discharge today.
