I'm military so they push you to get every vaccine possible. If I got extra pay for every shot or blood draw I've had id be a rich woman lol but I was just wondering if it hurt lol I had to have that rhoflax cuz I have neg blood and that left my butt cheek sore for like 3 days lol
I got mine at 28 weeks. :) and I'm encouraging all my family to get their booster. My cousin's wife gave whooping cough to her son...(she's not the brightest crayon in the box..). But needless to say, everyone in my family is willing due to seeing how Will was hospitalized.
Maybe im getting it next week then. Idk ill ask my doctor about it Tuesday though
Pertussis is whooping cough
I got mines about a week ago, it just left my arm sore.... I'll be 35wks Saturday....
Yes, pertussis is whooping cough if I'm not mistaken. I got mine at 36 weeks and man I felt sick. All is well though
Is that whopping cough with all rest with??
Is that whopping cough with all rest with??
She might have asked me about it but I really dont remember. I would remember a shot like that though
They usually ask you if you want it. And usually give it to you at 28 weeks. I also got it along with my glucose test. They say to get it in your 3rd trimester no matter how long ago you got it and it enters the baby's bloodstream to protect the baby. Watch out, it left me feeling so drained for about a week and my arm was left so sore. That is a normal side effect though.
I haven't gotten it...I'm 38 weeks. Does that mean it's too late?
Hmmm my doctor said I had to get it, despite me getting it again last November for school. But maybe your doctor doesn't feel its necessary for baby to have it...
@allocate its the tetanus, pertussis and dyptheria (sp) vaccine.
I got it at 28 weeks when I took my glucose test! I should have waited but I figured since they were jabbing me, might as well get it all done at once. My doctor said as long as you have it by week 32 it will be transferred into babies blood stream by birth. I had to get it though because there is a huge out break of pertussis in south Dakota right now and they didn't want to risk Harrison getting it!
What is TDAP? My doctor hasn't mentioned it and im 35+2 weeks
Yes I got mine at 30 weeks, so 2 weeks ago. And my boyfriend and parents got it too.
