I had my IUD (Mirena) inserted on June 13, 2007 after I had my son and had it removed on July 2, 2009, it took me 39 days before I got my first period, and I know some women who it's taken 90+ days to receive their first period. Your body's just trying to get back to normal, I know how frustrating it can be while your sitting in lingo, not sure weather your pregnant or when your first period will show up, but try to be patient it will happen when the time is right! Also your body will play tricks on you after the removal that make you think that your pregnant, I myself went through these, and boy are they not fun, especially since period and pregnancy symptoms are so similar. Most women will agree that the bleeding after removal is just removal bleeding not a period. Also I know a very few women who have gotten pregnant right away after removal, so anything is possible, but most Dr's will advise you to wait at least one cycle so that your uterus lining is thick to hold the baby. It took me almost 7 months till I finally got my BFP (Big Fat Positive). Also I would start taking prenatal vitamins ASAP, my Dr told me to start taking them 3 months prior to conceiving to make sure that your body is ready to go. I am currently 36 weeks and 3 days pregnant with a healthy baby boy. Good luck and hope this helps!

P.S . You should join the group How long did it take you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal, the women on there are very supportive and helpful
There is another discussion group on MedHelpcalled "How long did it take you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal? "
I still visit that group often. I had the mirena for 3 years. My removal was in early July 2009. My Cycles were very out of sync ranging from 31-47 days long. It was tough. The girls on that discussion group have a wide array of stories. For me...it took 10 months to conceive after removal. Everybody's body reacts differently to the localized hormones in the mirena. My body was very sensitive and it took a while to get regulated. I'm telling you this because my doctor didn't tell me anything! She just said," You should get pregnant in the next 3 months" and sent me on my way. What she should have told me is that my cycle may be out of control for a while which makes TTC a hard task. It's like trying to hit a moving target. Your best bet is to try and have sex every other day until your cycle goes back to normal. Then you can track ovulation. Some people use the ovulation predictor kits but I found them to be useless with my cycle being so crazy. You can look for ovulation signs like egg white slippery cervical mucus.
Check out that other discussion group...it's great and the women are very helpful on there.
I wish you luck and patience.
I got my mirena out in march I had it for four years I spotted for a couple days after but I considered that to be caused from the removal not my period... I got my first period on april 14-21 very heavy and then I got pregnant in may with my first try and am due feb 11 now
but it is very different with every woman.... When I was trying to find people that conceived after mirena a found some that got preg right away others took many months
You have to be patient and just keep trying
