Taking Zofran

Should I be worried because I was prescribed Zofran for my nausea? I was in the hospital twice in one week very sick I kept throwing up and turned out I was dehydrated so they prescribed me Zofran because the other medicine was not working for me. I am doing much better now but I'm going to be concerned  throughout my pregnancy now because I hear Zofran is not safe. I am in my first trimester,7 weeks 6 days with my 2nd baby.

I took it for the first 20 weeks roughly and my girl is developing just fine, I'm 34 and a half weeks. But my sisters and a few friends have taken zofran during pregnancy and nothing has happened. But all of us took it just once a day. I think it just depends. I think you should take it when you need it, but don't take it if you don't.

I took it only as needed not the 3 times a day. had my baby on the 8th and she is healthy as can be. so my personal experience was good. drink less water more times through out the day instead of one full glass 8 times a day. that helped me :) good luck and don't let yourself get hungry that can make you nauseous  as well.

Just talk to ur doctor abt what ur comfortable with. I was prescribed Zofran also but in my second trimester. it does help great but I worry too just cause all the things u hear but I only take it if I feel its necessary but they have never actually had 100% proof or anything linked to it but just talk to ur doctor or research for yourself. that's what I did!
