To much info..? But so afraid and need some advice ASAP! Please! :(

So I am 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I started to get symptoms before I even took a hpt. I was feeling sick and dizzy and extremely thirsty. I tested when I was just over a month pregnant. At around 6 weeks the nausea kicked in pretty much every day, I gained about 5-8 pounds but I wasn't eating anymore then usual. Now at 7 weeks I had one sick day at 7 weeks 1 day, And I felt nauseated all day. At almost 8 weeks (tmrw) I have lost about 2 - 3.. I've only vomited about maybe 4 times during my pregnancy. I'm eating less then before just because I don't feel as hungry all the time, So that's probably why I've lost some of the weight too. I should mention its extremely hard for me to gain weight at any point in my life and for me to gain 5 - 8 pounds was actually shocking but its also really easy for me to lose weight. The first place I noticed, That my boobs arn't as big as they were before. My stomach doesn't look nearly as bloated as it did before, no breast tenderness, nausea, basically nothing. Just tired. It seems like I don't have any symptoms anymore and I'm EXTREMELY worried as I had a miscarriage only 3 ish months ago. I'm not bleeding or spotting nor am I cramping. But last night it sounds really weird, But I sneezed and held it in and I felt a sharp pain on my lower stomach on the right side for a good 2 - 3 minutes. It actually hurt really bad. I have an every day cold and I'm trying to get over that and not worry about this pregnancy too. Has anyone else gone through this and everythings okay?
My doctor says once you usually pass the 9 week mark everythings okay, Cause thats when something switches over from your body to the babies.
My period is due tomorrow but being pregnant it shouldnt come but maybe is that why I have no symptoms right now? I dont know I'm so confused and tired of worrying :(

BrittanyCasey - I totally hear you, and I'm SO sorry you can't find a dr.  Do you know if there are any certified nursing midwifes near you that your insurance will cover?  I just found out that a clinic near me has two, and my insurance covers it!  She's the one who will do ultrasounds for me, all the OB's I talked to didn't.  Also I had a family dr with my first, and to be honest it was kinda nice, however I felt he didn't have enough knowledge pregnancy, he even put on a birth control that is known to decrease milk supply when I was breast feeding.    Needless to say I refuse to see a family dr for pregnancy again.

If you do look for a midwife keep in mind there's two different kinds, one that does home births and one that delivers at a hospital.  If you want one that delivers at a hospital you could try calling the hospital's ob department and asking if there are any midwifes that deliver there.

At least it sounds like everything is going good, but if you are having twins, you really should have an ultrasound to be sure, the sooner the better.

I've gone to so many doctors. For my miscarriage I went to the emergency room because I didn't have a family doctor or gyno and thats where they denied me an ultrasound because it was to early on. Now the doctor I have is my family doctor, And he won't do an ultrasound until 4 1/2 months because theres not much to see. he says at that time, The doctor can also test for any defects. I've talked to so many doctors about ultrasounds and just even hearing a heartbeat and no one will do it! The doctor even suspected that I might be having twins just because I was showing at 6 weeks, and he said it didn't look like bloating. Also, my hcg levels were really high. But I mean I can't find that out for a few months yet, ANYWHERE!! It's extremely frusturating. I said to my doc that if it was twins I would need more folic acid so wouldn't it make sense to even see if I am having twins because at that point I don't think that folic acid is needed as much anymore. It doesn't make sense to me. I don't know what else to do, Because no one will see me and I don't understand why..
This time around I have no spotting, no bleeding at all, nor any unusual cramps. Last time the pain was unbearable. I'm just worried about the fact that I don't feel nauseated at all for about 4 or 5 days now my breasts arnt sensitive. I've just been tired and that worries me. I guess because I had no help and really no one else is willing to see me that scares me all the more! The doctor I have now also said its not likely to have a miscarriage twice in a row (at my age, 20) the first was probably due to abnormalities with the baby. Thankyou for everyones advice, truely!

BrittanyCasey - From people I talked to who had them, it happens frequently, however it's more common for people to pass the baby naturally before or shortly after they find out.  It does happen, and if your dr dosen't check your levels or do any scans there more likely to find later.  For me it was 5 weeks after the baby stopped developing.  My dr's rejected it in the past as well, the two I had with my other pregnancies, they both said it was un-necessary and and can make you think there's an issue when there isn't.  But in my case I REALLY wish they did.  At my 11 week apt they didn't hear the heart beat, and didn't do a scan, said it could be too early.  Because of that, I went in search for a dr who would fit my needs!  I found a midwife that I'm so excited to see!  I told my dr I needed the ultrasound and he agreed.  If you spotting you SHOULD have an ultrasound AND an exam.  From the exam my dr said that my body just didn't want to let go and that I could wait months to naturally let it go, so the D&C was the best option for me.  Since you had cramping AND bleeding, you really should have had an ultrasound and discusses your options.  It sounds like you should have some "meet and greats" with other dr's, find one that will make you feel comfortable.  My midwife reserves a FULL hour for the first apt, and a full 30 min for every other one.  Take care!

Brittny27 - I'm sorry you had to deal with a missed miscarriage.  Any reason they do more ultrasounds because you had a missed miscarriage?  I really wish I had them more frequently, every other week until I'm in the second trimester would make me feel MUCH better.  I also know what you mean about switching dr's.  I was going to the day I started to spot, but figured it would be easier to just finish that pregnancy at that place.  It my city there's one hospital, but the main clinic (Aroura) won't deliver there, you need to go about 20 - 25 min away to another hospital, for me that scared me that I wouldn't get there on time.  I didn't realize that there would be dr's in on city that wouldn't work at the cities hospital.

You need to change Doctors! I have had a missed miscarriage and due to that I  gotten two ultrasounds. I'm only 10 wks. I had my first ultrasound at 6wks 6days we saw a very strong heartbeat. I just changed Dr's due to many reasons not because I didn't trust the Dr or he did anything wrong. I just didn't want to deliver at that hospital he could deliver at. Anyways, My new Dr is doing weekly ultrasounds due to my missed miscarriage.  You need to be your own advocate and if it takes seeing 3-4 Dr's to find one that is willing to work with you and do the things needed to give you peace of mind then that's what it takes.

cocacolapanda - Sorry for your loss! How common are missed miscarriages do you know? Also, I just got denied an ultrasound until 18 + weeks because the doctor claims " You can't see much until then ". Which I personally find bs. I can't even hear a heartbeat until 4 1/2 months. I find that crazy. Even with my miscarriage, No one helped me through it emotional wise. I went to the ER because It was my 1st pregnancy, I didn't know what was going on. I started spotting 8 ish days before I actually miscarried and the spotting was very light and then progressed. The doctor told me it was a threatned miscarriage but I had to do everything myself. No one could help explain why I was bleeding, The pain in stomach was really intense, I felt unbelievably sore, The pain would come and I would stop and pretty much fall to the ground because I couldn't handle it. This time its not like this. I don't think I have miscarried. Last time I woke up feeling like I wasn't pregnant the very next day before anyone told me anything. I still feel pregnant but won't know what's going on for a while. Sorry for the long story, but thanks for your help and I'll definately try to relax. I don't need the extra stress for my baby!!! :) Congrats on your new pregnancy!

BradyAm - Thankyou for your help too! It's kinda reassuring hearing someone's been through sort of the same situation and everything's turned out fine! Congrats on your little one aswell. As bad as it sounds, I'd like for the symptoms to come back just so I actually feel like everything's okay! haha. I guess i'm just going to have to wait it out, But I'm staying positive. I have been staying hydrated, I've been focusing on that. Thanks for the advice!

ahh nothing to worry about. symptoms come and go a lot during pregnancy. especially early on. that pain is round ligament pain and youll probably be feeling it for a while everytime you cough or sneeze but it does get better. i didnt gain any weight in my 1st trimester because of decreased appetite due to nausea, my symptoms also started disappearing around 9 weeks but came back a little bit into my 2nd trimester 13+ weeks. i have gotten sick maybe 3 or 4 times this entire pregnancy, it gets very frustrating with the stuffy nose and achy feeling but you just have to push through it and try to take care of yourself the best you can. drinking a lot of fluids will help with some cold symptoms so make sure your staying hydrated.

my guess is the bloating made you show early, and now that your not as bloated you don't "look" as big.  When I had my missed miscarriage, I actually kept getting bigger even after the baby died.  Try to relax, and just mention it to your dr at your next apt.

Is there a reason they don't give you an ultrasound sooner?  I didn't have one sooner (unless I bleed in my second one), and this time since the miscarriage I actually interviewed several dr's and midwifes and found one that did ultrasounds at every apt you don't hear the heart beat including the first apt.

In all my pregnancies I've lost about 10 lb, then in my first around 20 weeks I started to gain it back.  In the last one (since it ended in first trimester), I lost 10 lb and kept it off.  So far I'm about 5 weeks and have lost about .5 lb this week.

Try to relax, and if you ever feel concerned, call your dr!

No I know its considered more safe after 12 weeks then 9 but my doctor told me the miscarriage rate reduces even more after 9 weeks.
Thankyou for your advice, I'm doing my best not to worry at all because it does more harm then anything. This morning I just woke up and feel like my little "bump" isn't as big as it was before. It's probably bloating, Since I started showing at 6 weeks. But it seems smaller everyday and it's extremely concerning. Thanks for your help!! I'm waiting and waiting for these 12 weeks to be over and then I think I'll be okay. It ***** also that I don't get an ultrasound until I'm 18 weeks. :(
Anyways, Congratulations on your pregnancy!! That's so exciting!

After 12 week mark is when its considered safe, not 9 weeks,at 12 weeks the placenta takes over providing all the nutriens needed for your baby, hun, your not bleeding or cramping.I wouldnt worry,of course you do we all do,ive had 7 losses.now 36 weeks pregnant and still worry to this day.it can cause a bit of discomfort when sneezing etc in pregnancy, ive had this right through all my pregnancys.along with colds.infact more now than before.I would say your perfectly fine,if you have any concerns speak with your doctor, thats what they are there for.as for the weight thing.they say in early pregnancy you will loose few pounds before gaining any weight.symptoms come and go,try not to worry and relax.
