Ultrasound

Hey everyone, went for my first ultrasound yesterday at 9 weeks. Everything looks perfect, two little arms, two little legs and a beautiful little face. Heartbeat 179bpm. Suddenly its so much more real knowing that bub is really there growing and healthy, rather than trusting two lines on a stick haha. I think I am in love already. We have decided NOT to find out the gender at our next scan and have that classic delivery room suprise, "its a .....!". Life is amazing.

Congrats! ! I know exactly how you feel! I got mine yest too. I'm 11 w 5 days. I couldn't believe there was a little person In there. They have me a vaginal ultrasound. Fist, then a reg. . I was uncomfortable with the idea of a vaginal one at first but when I saw how much more clear it was I was happy they did it that way! Congrats on baby!

I had never heard of one until the tech told me she couldn't see anything with the transabdominal, I was like "you're gonna put what in my what now?!" Lol. But now that I work OB I've learned they're very common.

I've only been able to have transabdominal ultrasounds late in pregnancy because of the position of my uterus. Transvaginal are very commonly used in early pregnancy, and a lot more comfortable than having a super full bladder lol
