What about over 34

Is there anything on pregnancy over 34?  I just turned 37 and I consider myself healthy.  Everyone thinks I am 27...but is it safe to have a baby at this age?  I have a 10 and a 13 year old and I would love to have another baby.

Lots of people get pregnant over 34 but the risk for birth defects (Downs syndrome for example) does go up slightly when you are over the age of 35 and you will require a higher degree of monitoring than someone who is younger.

CYW provided you with the link to the Medhelp forum for pregnant women 35 and over.  I think you will find that very helpful.

I think its totally safe especially if your healthy, it just may be a little harder during pregnancy.  This forum is mostly under 34 but there is a forum for 35+ on here if you want to talk to people that are pregnant and around your age.  But your more then welcome to stay here, we are all pretty helpful.
