Oh and the smell of peppermint tea made me soooooooo nauseous. My midwife then told me that peppermint tea isn't recommended for pregnant women as it can bring on contractions, and that it appears to be a positive but natural reaction from my body :-)
Thanks worriedbabe! Good to know what to expect soon :-(
The weirdest pregnancy symptom that I had was that my nose would tingle/burn. Like I had gotten water up my nose or something. It was constant from week 4 to about week 9. Now it's just every once in awhile. Also, the smell of bubble gum made me gag. :(
lol you're not the only one ap
I was extremely nasty and confrontational in the first trimester, I'm naturally a nice and laid back and relaxed girl. My moods were off the wall. It didn't matter where I was or who you were I was all over them like white on rice. I feel so much better now. I'm glad that part is behind me. Yikes.
AP
zazou, he'll be the one feeling sorry for you when little one decides to make his/her entrance so it's all fair lol
No one told me about being bloated the whole time. I'm small and usually when I eat, I'm a little bloated, but now when I drink something or eat the slightest thing, I am fully bloated!!! Oh, the dreams started really early with me, they are vivid and scary at times. Also gagging while brushing the teeth is another one, and the lack of sex drive. I feel sorry for my husband :-(
Okay, for weird symptoms, I have had some of them mentioned above. I gag brushing my teeth, I also had increased cm after O during my 2ww. I bled after bding which I strongly believed was implantation day, but I will never know. My boobs started hurting almost immedietely after I bled.
I also get the burning sensation in my lower abdomen before I need to poo... I also craved spicy food and now its sour stuff.
The one that is weirdest for me is the rash I got on my arm after wearing a wooden bangle I bought from Swaziland. The rash appeard after a couple of days of wearing it, it had no itching or burning sensation at all. it was just there... It appeared after my BFP. I read somwhere that our skin is very sensitive and an unusual sign is a skin rash, don't know how true that is.
Oh and one more, I know people complain about getting hot during pregnancy but I am really cold, all the time and its Summer here in SA.
LOL. I just remembered a really weird one. didn't get it with my first but had it with all the other 3...when i need a number 2 i get a burny feeling around my lower abdomen that makes me get rid straight away!
I ended up sweating a lot more. I'm telling you stinky stinky wetness. Gross. Also my feet got wider and wider
well, i know this may sound bad but i smoked while i was pregnant with my son (couldn't quit/but slacked down to 5 a day) well, every time i would smoke a cig. i would start gagging and actually throw up, and also tropical flavored skittles made me throw up too
Yeah, the hightened sense of smell...I remember it! It did go away after the first trimester though. I craved eggs...and still do! Never was much of an egg person before! I had vivid dreams but most were nightmares so it was awful!
Hmm...well I started craving spicy food ALOT. Then I started getting Super gassy. Heightened sense of smell. Weird vivid dreams, crazy vivid.
An insanely heightened sense of smell... that was crazy!! It went away after the first trimester.
No pregnancy for me but i remember this article its funny it has the embarrasing symptoms lol!!

mami1323...LOL! I hope when my time comes i'm not more cranky than i am during PMS b/c THAT'S scary!
I to gagged while brushing my teeth...what is that? Very very moody....I mean to the point where if I actually owned a gun, I'd be in jail :)
I also would eat and then 15 minutes later, still be hungry.
i have a cousin who says diet coke made her sick..just smelling it. Never heard that before so I thought it would be counted as "unusual"
This pregnancy is the only one that I have actually done on purpose, so when I was in the 2ww, I was paying attention to everything, whereas with other pregnancies (that were not on purpose), I did not pay attention at all.
So, with this one, I noticed the very vivid dreams as chantal21 mentioned. I am not one that normally remembers her dreams unless I just have a nightmare or something. But every morning, I would wake up and have these very vivid and strange dreams. So, that was one. The only other thing I really noticed was that I had an increase in CM. Normally after O, my CM would dry up and then I might get some a day or 2 before I was expecting AF. But during my 2ww, I would get some CM about every other day and that was unusal for me.
i do indeed! glad i'm not the only one
I had goosebumps early on (before I found out), and about four weeks ago, my right eye started constantly twitching. That part finally went away last week.
I too have crazy dreams right now, they started almost right away, my nipples are killing me, just the nips not the entire boob lmao.
lol. well maybe the lack of dreams or lack of crazy dreams could mean something then.... hmmm. Wow! 12 out of 13?! That's amazing! My mother-in-law is like that! I am horrible at guessing at that stuff! It's funny how you can predict it for other women, but it doesn't seem to work for yourself! awww!
chantal...i wish i could use that as a predictor. I have crazy dreams every day of my life! (seriously). Although...lately notsomuch. (hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...i wonder...)
I did have a dream about another woman I know being pregnant. And i've accurately predicted the gender of 12 women (thats 12 out of 13!), but I don't have any of that natural intuiton for myself dangit!! :(
I don't know how unusual this is....but everytime I've been pregnant, I knew I was long before I took a test because I would have these vivid dreams and I mean vivid, like they were real or something, just about weird stuff that had nothing to do with my life or anyone else's around me. It was usually 4 days before I could even test I would have these dreams...and I would just know. This has happened to me everytime. It's so strange to me. Also, I would get sore nipples...most women just get sore breasts. Maybe I'm just odd. lol.
