When should the baby be head down?

For the past 2 weeks the baby has been head down... I am currently 30 weeks pregnant... is that too soon for the baby to be head down, or does it really matter?  I'm assuming that if it wants to it can still move around....

this is definitely, in itself, not an issue. i've had 3 babies and all of them were head down the first time they checked ( from around 22 weeks ) and they were all overdue

DS was head down at 30 weeks - I don't think it matters when it happens as long as it does...

Head down is obviously better than butt down. But my lil princess has been head down since 24 weeks. Because she has been head down for so long and sitting low, it has caused some "issues" for me. But at 30 weeks there is no harm. Better head down than butt right?? If your doctor doesn't seemed concerned than I wouldn't worry about it! :)

THere is no specific time the baby should turn. I mean there is but it can never be too early only too late. Don't worry about it. It's good that the baby is already head down. No cause for concern as you get closer to your due date. My first was a s s down until like two weeks before and they weren't sure he would turn cuz I was so small but he did. It's okay if the baby is already head down. THat doesn't mean he's gana fall out or come way to early or anything. Just means he's ready when your body is ready to give him up.

I think it's only of concern if your baby isn't in the head down position by 36 weeks. It's fine if baby is that way now. :)
