Will my doctor induce me if I ask him to?

Alright, so I have an appointment tomorrow and I will be 40 weeks and 2 days. Last time they checked(39-2) my cervix was still closed. But this pregnancy is starting to become over bearing from pain and discomfort. I have head aches all the time, I'm always hot, she is hitting a nerve that is sending sharp shooting pains in my groin and lower abdomen almost all day long, I still have morning sickness everyday. I have contractions often, but its usually just the tightening in my stomach with no pain. I just really want to be induced and get this over with. :( do you think if I discussed this with my doctor, he would consider inducing me?

Most drs won't let you go past 41 weeks. According to my Dr the placenta works well (functional) a week after your due date. Talk to them about it and he/she should induce in the next couple of days.

He should. I asked my doctor can I get induce and I'm just 26 weeks he said I can a week before my due date unless anything happens before that. But u should ask him I'm sure he would be crazy if he said no. But some women do have contractions with out pain I had it with my first.
