Any one else working up until their baby decides to come?? Can't really afford the time off before.. I just wonder if ima be home or at work when everything starts happening. Here in ca I get pregnancy leave thru disability.. Anyone know if I would just do paper work at the hospital then? What's the fastest way to get it in to disability so I can have minimal delays. I'm 36+3 how are you ladies feeling at work? Any one around this same time??
I'm 35+2 and still workin' and plannin' on workin' 'til he wants to come. It has been a pain, but I'm managing. I had to fill out my FMLA/leave paperwork already since I guess my work needs It a month earlier and I juss put my due date when I'll leave, but they told me If he Is late and I still wanna work I still can, I juss have to revise the paperwork so I thought that was cool. I'm not so sure about the whole disability though, sorry.
With my first child I left work in May because I went into preterm labor, My daughter was born in July, but I didnt receive any money till September!!! I know its not supposed to be like that but my job fckd up on papers and stuff.>:(
My disability paper work came from my doctors office. I had to be taken off at 29 weeks I filled out paper work at doc they filled out their part and mailed it out. It took 4 weeks for my money to start coming. I'm pretty lucky with my job I get disability and then once baby is here another 12 weeks with pay. Just know the disability/edd does take awhile to come good luck
With my second child, I was supposed to work up until my dd cuz I was only given a personal leave of 30 days and I had a c section and I remember I worked on Sat and was supposed to go back mon, thurs, fri, sat and that monday was my due date, however my baby girl came a week early on the Monday I was supposed to work. I called them and let them know I wasn't coming in lol. Also, I had jury duty and I had to cancel and the lady was like...its a little late,,, and im like uh...im in the hospital, I just had a baby! She laughed and its been 2 years since ive gotten a notice to do jury duty lol
well i cant really give them a date cuz im literally gonna work till labor decided to start.. i dont do it thu work its thru disability from the doc nd hospital
I'm 37 weeks &2 days and I'm working another eek n a half bartending lol. I got fmla so i took 8 weeks. Off total. If ur work has less than 50 employees. And u haven't been there a year and worked less than 1250 hrs u won't qualify, but u can ask for. A personal leave or file short term disability through ur work.
That's my plan to work til my due date. I'm 27 weeks and work is pretty exhausting but I manage.. I'm not sure about the disability is kinda like to know myself. I'm hoping my work will give me my paperwork early so I can go ahead and turn it into unemployment and just work under the table til I officially leave. Dunno how well that's gonna pan out though
