amniotic fluid or urine? please help asap

so me and my partner had sex (kinda rough) and after i washed up and peed i put on my underwear. and about 2 minutes later i noticed a pretty big wet spot on them so i changed them. there was little more on the next pair but not as much. i was afraid it might be amniotic fluid so i smelled it (sorry if tmi) and there really was no smell. i had to really smell it to try to detect anything...it kinda smelled like pee but my underwear mostly just smelled like laundry detergent so i couldn't tell really. also my vagina was wet...not sperm cause i know what that would be like. the fluid was wet and odorless and slightly sticky...am i leaking fluid or what? im 22 weeks and i dont wanna call after hours unless i have to.

You need to call your doctor to find out for sure because if it is amniotic fluid and you don't do anything about it, it could turn into preterm labor.

Go get checked ASAP never wait when it comes to an unborn child... as for your 4yr old try quiet time after some playing RUNNING AROUND with a movie and light snack your 4yr old should fall asleep or at least watch the movie long enough for a light cat nap :)

hi i'm 40 weeks + six day last Friday i saw my underwear wet and on it i saw some white thing and a little cold but no blood i'm getting pains but they are short and the baby stop kicking me .can you please tell me what to do cause i'm scared

I was also worried that I could be leaking amniotic fluid. It happens especially after I go pee. I wipe, I get up and I think I'm done but my underwear gets wet. It's not the urine, I am sure because it doesn't smell like it. It doesn't smell like anything really. I learned that in the third trimester vaginal discharge is increasing. Your vagina is swollen and it doesn't easily come out so when you sit down or get up that's when it rushes out. After having sex it is most likely that you produce even more of it. If it was just a one time incident I wouldn't worry too much. If it continues call your Dr. Trust me they will pay attention because it's their job and you're not bothering anyone. They get paid for the appointments :-D

Crappers I am 26I weeks just read the old post by mama604 and Im pretty sure mine situation is amnio fluid because for the last few days my underwear has been wet some little some a lot
Its clear and watery so sheeiitt and Im really good at peeing when I need to so it shouldn't be urine... I have a appointment on Aug. 22 for the glucose test "yay me" anyway maybe I should be seen before then? Any thoughts
mi ladies ? Btw this is my second child I am full time stay at home of a 4yr old girl and rarely gets naps ughhh frustrating because my husband will sleep ans zero efforts to help me get rested! So selfish anyway thanks for any feed back C-:

I know amnio fluid is clear & watery.. no smell or if anything almost smells sweet like sugar water. I know very well cuz my water broke at 31 weeks & was on bedrest for 2 weeks with the fluid leaking.. you can have your water break & your body will just keep making more (if you arent in labor) and provided you are laying down most of the time. If you notice wettness after changing a few times then Id def go get checked.. I had also with my first pregnancy a slow leak throughout from about 25 weeks on, always had low fluid around baby, not nessisarily bad but to avoid infection etc its good to know if thats whats happened to you. Also could have been a little urine with baby growing & your bladder having more pressure on it, sometimes when pregnant even sneezing can cause a little urine to leak. Good Lck, i think you are fine, at 22 weeks you should be ok but check with your doc for sure if it continues.

not really cuz the smell was urine which smells
like ammonia. Leaking amniotic fluid is continuous from what I understand and I didnt have that. I had my ultrasound last week to check levels and cord etc... All is well!

im going to have to start wearing them..were you not ever afraid that it was fluid?

No worries! Do you wear panty liners? You should cuz if you don't, you'll have wet panties
often and then you'll stink like pee. Pregnacy does that sadly. I had to upgrade from pantyliners to maxi pads in the end since the baby was putting so much pressure on my bladder, I couldnt tell when I'd leak urine.

thanks! i know its so hard to tell. i think its probably urine i was just surprised by how much there was and i didn't feel like i was peeing at all. it seems to have stopped now so ill just chalk it up to urine unless i experience it more then i'll call. i just know now that im gonna be so worried until my next appointment in 2 weeks.

oh the only thing I can think of is if it was amniotic fluid it would continuously leak and not even kegal excercise would help stop it. Just to be sure is to call the doc.

pregnancy and rough sex dont go well together hell some doctors say no no to sex if there is a reason like high risk etc. not sure what to tell you but go get it checked out to be sure. No one can really tell you for sure on here what you leaked. Could be left over sex mucus, urine (ammonia smell) amnio fluid. Good luck!
