answers and experiences plz!!

So I have had 3 children but my last 2 pregnancies ended in mc around 6 weeks. I had tests done and have to go Monday for a couple more that wasn't ordered like they should have been but my OB said the tests that were done were all good except my thyroid level and it was very elevated and she that is a major cause of mc. Has anyone ever had this problem? How long should it take to fix it? Has anyone had this happen and go on to have more children. I don't know much about this and the internet isn't much help.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the medicine to work? How long will I need to wait before I start trying after I begin the medicine from y'alls experience?

If your hypo you don't make enough if your hyper you make to much. I'm hypo my mother was hyper. I'm currently 36w 5d and my mom successfully had 3 children. She even underwent surgery to correct her thyroid not knowing she was pregnant with my brother to bad they took out to much and now she's hypo like myself and grandma. It can cause issues if not obviously controlled but as long as your addressing it now you should be done with bby and anymore if you want :-)

Hi,  I have thyroid problems. My thyroid doesn't give out enough so im not sure what it's called. Lol anyways they told me that would be a concern for pregnancy n I have had 3 miscarriages already.  Im now pregnant and i'm 10weeks 3days . This is the furthest I've ever been.  My doc has me taking levotyroxine 0.05mg. It doent do anything to me besides help.  If your thyroid is giving to much im not sure what they can do.  But im sure I feel the same way as you.  Tired, I gained weight it makes my skin so dry.  Bt now that im pregnant that's all happenin anyways. Lol. You should be able to have kids and ur next pregnancy might work out.  I have a pretty good feeling this one will and im praying everythung stays good for me.  Goodluck to you :)

Thanks. I think I have the hypo thyrodism bc I've been gaining a lot of weight since my second child and I'm tired a lot.

My neighbor also has hyperthyroidism and also had 2 MCs because of it. She was put on medication to help prevent her thyroid level from elevating. She's now 8 weeks(she never made it past 5 weeks with the first 2) and heard baby's heartbeat today, good and strong. I'm sorry though because I'm not sure exactly what the medication is but you could ask your OBGYN and he/she should be able to help you.
