I'm just wondering if this happens to all pregnant women or if i should be concerned. I'm 38 weeks and it's all the time now.

Mommytobe. Mine started around 12 weeks as well. I didn't notice it in my legs as much but my hands hurt terribly ever since about 12weeks

I'm only 12 weeks and that happens in both my arms and legs. I'm not even that far along so maybe there's something else wrong with me.

That would explain the problems with moving my hand and fingers sometimes. I thought it was potassium or something else more seriouS. Thank you all very much I feel better.

My doctor said it was pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. Its a pain in the neck. Try carpal tunnel braces. They don't always work but they keep my hands from falling asleep as quickly or as painfully. I usually only wear mine when I'm sleeping or driving for a long period of time.

My arm always falls asleep if I put it up by my head when I'm sleeping. It drives me crazy. It just recently started too. I'm 29 weeks tomorrow.

I was going to mention pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome as well.

I've had 3 wrist surgeries and have been told that the hormone in pregnant women called relaxin relaxes and loosens all the ligaments in the body. This causes arms, wrists, and shoulders to get tingly and even fall asleep. Even affects your feet. I've had problems with this because I had a complete ligament reconstruction in my right wrist and have had to get cortisone shots (which I get anyway but i've had more pain since pregnancy). If you have or have had carpal tunnel it definitely aggravates the condition. It will go away after baby gets here, hang in there!
