Wow! What a choice to have to make amongst all the other stresses. Here in the uk circumcision is very much a religious choice, i wouldnt have even known who to ask for it to be done. Sounds like in the us it has become a personal choice. i dont envy any of you who have to make the decision for your child.

No, not everybody has this done. My son is not circumcised. It is a personal choice that you need to do thorough research on before making a decision. I can't tell you how many websites I read over and over again, how many adult males, circumcised and not, I talked to about it before making my decision. It is when they remove the foreskin from the penis. My OB's words to me when I was having a difficult time with this decision were, "It is not a medical choice, it is a personal one." Good luck.

Thats a personal choice that is done out of tradition. Recent studies show that it does not prevent infection. my husband has never complained of any pain and no one in my family has ever had the procedure done.

I have a 17-month-old son, and I'm pregnant with another boy (also have a 3-year-old little girl :-) ) and our son is circumcised. Our new baby will be, too.

I left it entirely up to my husband. He's the only one who can understand and commiserate and relate, so I let him make up his mind after presenting him with arguments both for and against it.

As a woman, I simply have no way of understanding how a male might feel about this, just like a man could not understand how a woman might feel about certain aspects of pregnancy.

Good luck with your choice..it's a very personal one and there is NO right or wrong answer.

I'm also having a boy and I left it up to his father, my husband is uncircumcised and he hates it so our son will be circumcised.

No, every boy does not do this. America is pretty much the only place it's common practice. In other parts of the world it is not so common. You need to weigh the pros and cons and look at it from an unbiased view.

I would get my son circumcise if I have one, and I think it's a boy. Cleaner and hurts more as an adult.

My childrens father was not curcumsized.  And it causes him problems.  Like he says sometimes it still hurts when pulling the skin back.  So i had my son curcumsized so he wouldnt have those problems when he got older.

We got our son circumcised. He didn't even cry when it happend.  I would do it because its easier for you to keep it clean when diaper changing. Also long term it is more convinent for him.  Good luck!
