big baby , getting induced , HELP NEED ADVICE

Today i got told my baby is 8lbs 4oz , im a ftm im so scared because of how big she is ! did any of you momma's get told ur baby was bug also -&& actually wasnt that big ! ? also wat do i pack in my bag -&& baby's bag ! ? um gettung induced wednesday morning at 5:30am

At least you know the baby will be more than likey heathy. Lol . I couldn't imagine. My first son was 4 lb 2 oz. (He was premature. ) good luck.  Will be paying for you.

I was told my baby was 9 lbs 12 at 35 weeks he came out naturally at 37 weeks weighing 8lbs 12 so don't worry to much they can be Rong x

My first was 9'7 and all's I had was newborn and 0-3 months clothes.. she left the hospital in 3-6month clothing. This baby is big as well so I packed 2onesies newborn and 2onesies 0-3months as well as 2sleepers, one of which is to wear home. Plan for the unexpected. If your need a last min c section they will keep you for 3-4days compared to 1-2 vaginal. So you would need more clothes for baby! Plus babies spit up and get messy fast, if you can pack extra I would! As well consider the csection option when you pack for yourself. Pj pants and loose pants are great options especially darker clothes because you bleed and leak a lot. But if you have a csection your not going to want to wear pants, so pack a gown just incase. And they aren't always right predictions! But 8 lbs is a good size, not to big though

I had my daughter when I was 14 all natural. She was 21 3/4 inches and weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces.

im 39weeks 2days , im so scared -&& very excited ! thank you mommas for tge advice you girls put me my mind at ease ! i thought i was going to have trouble delivering vaginally !

My son was estimated at 8.5 pounds... I was induced and when he came out doc asked, "where is the rest of him?" Lol he weighed a huge 5 lb 15 oz. They can be very wrong!!

MY 2ND BABY,, WAS 8LB. & I HAD HER NORMAL. I HAD NO PROBLEM. IM 5'2. SHE DID GET TO USE HER 0-3MNTH CLOTHES. & SOME NEWBORN,, I PACKED AT LEAST 2 CHANGE OF CLOTHES OF EACH SIZE.  & FOR UR BAG,, PACK SOME COMFY CLOTHES. MAYBE SOME PJ'S (: GOODLUCK!

My first was 9lb 7oz my second 8lb my 3rd 9lb and my 4th was 9lb 11oz  Im 5'2 and had them all naturally my last was a home birth in England you dont get told how big baby might be. Im sure your be fine good luck

I'm 5 foot 2 n my first baby was 9.6 n delivered naturally. She was in newborn clothes for weeks. How many weeks are you?8.4 really isn't that big. I'm expecting this baby to be even bigger than my first but they're not going to induce me,even tho I have severe SPD. They won't even give me a scan now to see how big he is as they say they're not accurate at this stage (I'm 37w1d) I personally think its better to let baby come by themselves as reduces the need for interventions but I think if your baby is what they say you'll be fine delivering vaginally.

At one ultrasound for my daughter at about 30weeks they said she was gonna be big an i was gonna need to induced early lucky i had a second opinion at the hosiptal it was planned for me to giv birth at an she was only 6lb 5oz gav birth at 39weeks an she was 7lb 5oz! But 8lb is really not that big.. my sister is tiny framed an gav bith vaginally to a 9lb baby.. :) im sure ull be fine

im exactly 5'0 lol so i hope i have bo trouble ! do i take newborn clothes or do i take 0-3 months since im having a big baby ?

Im 4'9 my son was 20in 8pounds so u can do it and oh yes take a blanket and a pillow verey uncumfy beds

All my babies were big. My first was 8lbs 5oz and my second was 8lbs 3oz. I had them both vaginally. I would pack you and baby two comfortable outfits. A pillow and blanket for you because those hospital beds suck lol.
